10 million bpd production cut is not good enough. The excess production that brought down the oil price waa in that range before covid 19 pandemic increased it to about 20 million bpd due to world inactivity.
So the production cut needed now is about 20million bpd. This present agreement can only stop further crash and perhaps hedge it a little except there are clear signals that the worst of covid 19 is over.
. Chinese production lines are gradually coming back meaning oil demand too

Hmmm! ... good to see that nestle closing price changed today

Happy here too. Got in with a little capital and wasn't convinced enough about its trajectory. I proceeded to employ the funds elsewhere.

I do remember when some men here were calling out fantasy stock prices for very sound coys.

It's good to have a sane level of greed but when one becomes too greedy, then the reality of such persons will only remain in the world of fantasy.

Some of us here have gained while others have missed out on an opportunity that comes only once in 100yrs. Kai!!!!
I hear this pandemic happens every 100yrs. Chai!!!
. How much has the market gained compared to the losses when all of Una they sing like this?

My post was in reference to individual coys not the market in general. for example

Zenith has returned 28% to date for those that bought at 10.70.
Fidelity has returned 25% to date from 1.53 .
Access has returned 20% to date from 5.40 to mention a few.

So if you are looking @ the market as a whole, you wouldn't see anything but when you look at individual coys, the picture becomes clearer.

As regards losses, there were some posts here late Jan/ early Feb about selling off to book profit. some took heed while some waited and it cost them but the market will definitely rebound. it's only a matter of time.

grin funny though how all this goes .i almost jumped down from wapco bus after buying at 12. 80k and after some minute saw it down at 12.45 . I felt as if I made a mistake and also contemplated selling it immediately to cut loss . Stock can play tricks with our mind though esp for newbie like me .

One of the lessons we just learnt under this COVID-19 regime - It has shown us how much our money can make for us while we are lock-down/not active at work or in any business. If while on lock-down, you are not making any passive income then it means you need to start investing immediately in fact you need to declare a state of emergency on your investment situation, as little as 5% or 6% some MMF managers are giving now, some people still got credited or will be credited while they are on lock-down and dividends were paid and will still be paid to investors in stocks. If you are on lock down and your money too is lock down, then you need to review your investment strategy. Assume this lock-down is your retirement period how well can you live well without working? If only when you open business, or you are present at work you make money then your investment is not complete you need to do more forms of investment. Just a lesson!

Your contributions and response even from the other investment threads are always on point . I asked about you from the branch head ilorin a while ago , you are a good ambassador of investment one . Well done

have u people started picking ur calls promptly? And I don't have to wait indefinitely on the call listening to ur jingles while my call credit goes to waste. And I hope I can now cancel mandate during trading hours and don't have to wait till 4pm? And I hope I can buy immediately after sales and don't need to wait till market is over before value reflects on the screen?

sure the market will rebound but those gains u mention are quite insignificant when u are not playing with huge funds. And one must have had the biblical grace of Daniel to have accurately entered at those low prices before it went up

I use Greenwich but their site can drag a lot.
Plus they need to include a feature that makes it easy to edit your mandate.
Morgan still gives the best user experience for now IMO.

@Mcy56,

Kindly assist, I'm a newbie.

I have been following the discussion for some time now and I appreciate all the ogas, you all are doing well.

I sent requests to my brokers on Tues, Wed and today to purchase some shares (usually sent btw 11am and 12pm) at a price but they delay for hours and towards close of biz the stock will rise and my requests won't be treated.

For example, I sent request around past 12 yesterday to purchase ETI at N4 but they delayed and price went up towards close of biz. Same thing happened today, I sent request for N4.4 at past eleven and still they didn't execute it as price went up to N4.65 around 2pm. Same thing with Access bank.

I want to request for online access, is it possible to enter my requests online and still send the same request to my broker so that I don't miss out on Tuesday? Will there be an issue if I request and also do same from their end? I'm just looking for ways not to miss out on Tuesday, Pls help a JJC. Thank you

Please o, I have a question.

Can someone live by doing jijo alone, all year round? Assuming that someone has substantial seed money.

Try to download their mobile app.
You will edit your mandate anytime you want.
Everything is made easy with mytradebook mobile app.
You may find it harder when using a laptop/desktop computer to trade with Greenwich.

I use laptop to monitor market data and use mobile phone to execute orders.

Try it and let me know what you experienced.

Instead of sending requests why not trade directly by your self through your brokers online platform.

I am a newbie like you, I just started out like 2 weeks ago and I have been carrying out my trades by my self. Once I load my count, which takes a few minutes from the time I made transfer to my balance reflecting on the platform, I can easily bid for stocks as long as my chosen price is on offer.

Trading is so easy o.

Do you have up to 5m?
Can you be satisfied with 7 to 10%?
Are you ready to monitor a stock from 10 am to 2.30pm?
Are you ready to study one or two stocks and trade only on them only on pullbacks and breakouts?

If your answer is yes,you are good to go.
