Deadlytruth: So what is ur take on it? Though Loco has moved the ministry cuz it traded 700k units today which it has never done in the immediate past two years. And bids are now building, next is that beneficiaries of LOCO's living trust, academy, scoa etc, will join and boom, it will get to #5. |

He said since Currentprice abandoned his duties.........but CP won't and can't look the way of such stocks EXCEPT he saw and he's sure of good things coming from the angle nah...... The good thing is, the price movement of those stocks is just a prayer answered for those sitting inside the bus for donkey years, they'll be so grateful to Loco..... |

Marketapprentic:Lol. Remember say you don promise o, e better make you no promise than to promise and not fulfil it. Btw, the fair price of N28 gotten by CP was based on Q3 result alone. Some lines in Q3 were just smelling of money, money, money...... that was what I saw that time. We'll see what's cooking in Q4 that made those guys be packing it like sand. One thing I like about this stock is it's liquidity though, the stock no fit stuck person like those illiquid ones. |

Hello my people, I just noticed that my MTN public offer has been updated in my MC trading account. The total number of shares is correct, but the Ave cost is wrong. Should I need to escalate. I was expecting an average cost of 168.5, as my previous Ave cost was 168 before the PO units, but to my surprise the current Ave cost is now 180.1. Please advise. Thank you |

Marketapprentic:In SA, one of the most powerful tools is primordial sentiments. Unlike RTB, NCR is a relatively new stock and is not known to have fallen from a very high price to the current one. RTB was once selling for N40 before it began to gradually drop over the years and finally to 20kobo. If NCR had once traded at, say, N200 before dropping to this current N3 amidst other factors like not too low OS, Good dividend history, etc, then it would have passed the SA test. |

Assets rebalancing is a difficult task. I was given a difficult task by my younger brother whom I introduced to the then NSE in 2015. He has been buying stocks as if he was buiding an index fund. I advised him to trim the 73 stocks in his portfolio to 15 or 20 manageable assets that can stand the test of stock fluctuations. I'm seeking the opinions of learned members to help a brother that requested for one. Personally, I have 16 stocks in my portfolio that worth N104M, they are; MTNN NESTLE AIRTEL DANGOTE CEMENT DANGOTE SUGAR GUINNESS UCAP FBNH ACESS BANK ZENITH BANK GTCO UBA BUA CEMENT MOBIL(11 PLC) TOTAL ENERGY NCR plus RT BRISCOE acquired in Dec 2021 From 2009 till date, I have invested N43M, including dividends. my objective is to become a billionaire by year 2030 through stock investments, on the other hand, my brother got the following 73 stocks in his portfolio that worth N31.8M, He invested about N23M from 2015 till date His investment objective is for his children University education. debostar: You should have a Nigerian bank account. If you do, contact your bank's customer service on the bankers confirmation. They should have a way to do and mail one to you. The you forward it to the CSCS through mail. When writing they will ask who you want it addressed to. Tell them to address it to CSCS. You can copy their address online and send along with it. |

Deadlytruth: New stock . So u don't even know much about the NCR . ANYWAYS, it was trading around #18 not too long ago. The only issue is that the volume has always been small. The quantity has always been small, except now that LOCO & CLUB MEMBERS wan push it up. Anyways, let's see how it goes next week. Make I just join that ministry and maybe pay school fees |

Foundwealth001: No big deal, just replicate what you did with your portfolio for your brother. He needs to sell some of the dead stocks in his portfolio and reduce the stocks to about 30. He should have two Stockbroking accounts, one will be for long term Investment this should be worth about 70% of his portfolio, the other account should be for trading. What is the current dividend generated by his portfolio? He should endeavour to invest part of his dividends in fixed income funds. What will he do if the market is very bearish when his children are about to be admitted to the University, will he sell in a down market? Reason why he needs funds that won't be affected by the market conditions. If I may ask, what is the current dividend produced by your portfolio? if it it less than N12 million you need to rebalance your portfolio for a better yield 6 Likes 1 Share |

Marketapprentic: My newness description for NCR is in the relative sense. Please check my comment again and you'll see the word 'relative'. Its OS is too low to consistently secure the 100,000 threshold volume required to push price up should there even be any positive news or rumour about it. A fall from an all-time high of N18 (according to you) to N3 (one sixth) is also not good enough to stir up primordial sentiments in the wake of any positive news of geometrically improved earnings. Compare all these with RTB BRISCOE which fell from N40+ to 20 Kobo (i.e. one two hundredth) and has about 1.18 bn OS which is far from being overbloated yet can generate the 100,000 threshold units everyday during a rally as it is currently doing from the 20 Kobo it kick-started from last week Monday or so. Recall that when the rally took a break at 30 Kobo a lot of folks jumped out thinking it was a sign of being over. 1 Like |

Deadlytruth: My friend, If that is your worries,100k block units and more will be available each day to push it to a new high. It will join stocks with new 52wks high from Monday and the rest of the time will be a new history to NCR shareholders. They have come to recover their losses. The stock is positioned to reward shareholders.More revenues and profits is coming in the subsequent quarters of 2022.Lots of contracts are currently at hand coupled with 2023 general electionon. Those who manage to get the shares will smile heavily in this 2022. I am also thinking this time around Bonus will be declared to shareholders in the next announcement. Happy weekend. See us again next week at custom street where the doings are happening. 3 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: @pa elder Emma, Many thanks for your feedback and suggestions, I'm currently with my brother, we worked up his dividends in 2021 financial year, total dividends earned was N3,433,221. Compared with my portfolio that earned N9,770,127.55k, as at November 2021, my portfolio was N96.7M, I made additional investments in Dangote cement and MTNN from December 2021 to February 2022. The issue at hand now is that he does not want to rebalance at a loss and buying blue chip stocks at the current exorbitant prices. He agreed to reduce the portfolio to maximum of 30 equities. Also agreed to retain the stocks that mirror my portfolio, while disposing 43 that are the worst of the 73 stocks in his portfolio. Also plan to invests all dividends of year 2022 in a fixed income assets. He is seeking the expertise of a professional who can rebalance his portfolio at a cost. Please if you know any1, kindly share your email on this platform for further discussion. I do not have the knowledge to rebalance my brother portfolio, kind of giving me headache. I recommend a professional stock guru/investor to do the task. Pls if you are available, you are needed. Brokerage statement and current cscs statement will be made available 1 Like |

Foundwealth001: Pa Emma is a very knowledgeable, veteran and trustworthy member of this thread and forum in general, so this is not about Pa Emma, but i would implore you to be very wary of other wolves / people out there that can jump on this your info and do u damage. the info is too much for a public forum and you might want to edit / delete some (if the info are true anyway) My candid advice is to walk into any reputable stockbroking/ financial firm (we have a lot of them like UCAP / Meristem / Investment One / FBN Merchant/ Stanbic IBTC e.t.c) to seek a solution to your challenges which they would do justifiably and at reasonable charges n.b i dont work nor am i associated (other than as a customer) to any of the firms mentioned. Foundwealth001: He doesn't have to reinvest all his dividends in Fixed income Funds. If he needs to save for the university education of his children in 10 years. N1 million per annum at a return of 13% compounded for 10 years will grow to N20 million. He can also borrow against the fund in order to harness opportunities in the market and the economy. I don't think he needs a portfolio manager, once he reduces his portfolio to a manageable size he should frequent this thread to get ideas from experienced Investors. 7 Likes |

robobo: Very good? This is an Investment thread and we deal with figures, units of shares, amount invested, interest rates on our loans, profits from our trades, percentage gain, dividend yield, portfolio.. Different strokes for different folks. The figures motivate those who are seeing improvements in their portfolios and growing their wealth but annoys those who are only making money for their Stockbrokers and can't point to any tangible wealth they have been able create trading in shares for ages 9 Likes 1 Share |

There are plenty of wolves in public space (this forum inclusive and this is not a malign to anybody character). i do all my investment stuff by myself also (with info sourced from the public and professionals) and God has been more than faithful. Nonetheless, it doesnt take away that there are wolves out there that would pounce on others if they are not careful enough (example with the kind of info / figure posted by the Oga, if true anyway) 1 Like |

Foundwealth001: Find a good financial school, where you can learn about investments, understanding financial reports etc It’s not likely that one will be a veteran investor afterwards but that’s not the goal. Without adequate financial knowledge, how does one distinguish between good and bad advice The answer is experience but in the world of finance that’s too costly a price If you’re gonna hand it over to your kids, you’ve gotta discuss and test their knowledge as well or will you pay your financial advisor for that too and follow his recommendation No you won’t |

robobo:Thanks for your concern. I repeat, I'm very careful and highly sensitive to release my personal information and that of my brother to any1. For your doubt, you can see the attached screenshots of my brother portfolio.(only 4 pages could be posted) I'm here to seek the elderly advise of people of timbres and calibers like Pa Emma et al. For whoever is knowledgeable in portfolio construction will only get the equities portfolio with no name and personal information. On the other hand, I keyed into your suggestion of seeking brokerage firms opinion. The only reason my brother detests their opinion is due to their unreasonable recommendations. My brother mentioned that he was always following the recommendations of Meristem and Afrinvest from 2017 to 2019. Most time they tell u to buy, the stock crashes in price, when they tell you to sell, the stock begin to appreciate. This platform has been a guide to my personal stocks portfolio. We weren't communicating at the time he was buying most of the stocks coz of individuals differences and sundry issues. We only re-established communication in Nov 2021. That was when he told me about his portfolio and investment objective of investing for his kids University education. @ Pa Emma, I just introduced him to NSEMPA today. I used to be a guest on this platform for years but only registered recently. I already told him Pa Emma suggestion and he is also reading it as I'm typing this response. He keyed into investing N1m yearly in fixed income funds, since he can afford it. He still insists on a neutral expert who can reconstruct this portfolio without sharing of personal informations.

I guess the 'unsolicited concern' there came from the statement (if the info are true anyway). However, I did not think the advice was in bad fate. Maybe the didn't come to you as intended. You should be open to different advice for what you seek then sieve them at the end to get what suit you. 1 Like |
