Union bank released a not so good result, did not pay dividends but has been on a steady but gradual increase in price. Will they be buying us out soon?

I have been wondering what kind of bull will hit the market when "that man" finally leaves office. Its almost election period and the market is not reacting negatively.

Please where do i go to see real time stock prices during trade. I am registered with EDC securities and their online app is just to place buy/sell orders. I am looking for more than that, where i can see real time buy/sell orders.

WE CONTINUE TO MONITOR MSCI AS A MIRROR FOR WHAT THE FOREIGN PORTFOLIO INVESTORS ARE DOING
For now, as at Thursday this week, nothing yet. But some movement may happen soon, we continue to follow up.

As usual the gist goes to our members 1st. For now, market is not too bad, but most trading is concentrated on few stocks.

Wishing everybody the best.

Wapco need to grow up in price, the valuation for Buacement is double that of Wapco.
Only that Buacement is more efficient than Wapco, however, Buacement is having too much Receivables.

I just published an article with the title:

"BETWEEN UKRAINE, RUSSIA AND THE NSE"

https://www.booksie.com/668849-between-ukraine-russia-and-the-nse

A extensive look at how the recent RUSSIA-UKRAINE crisis might impact on certain select assets in the Nigerian stock exchange.
...making sense of the tiny details between top-down impact and current bottom-up stand of the companies involved with a view to seeking VALUE!

It's published on booksie, the U.K blog, medium and the personal finance section of some select Nigerian dailies.
You may wish to read through by using the link above.

Regards.

A reminder to the article above.

https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/indonesia-bans-edible-oil-export-sparks-mayhem-global-food-crisis-ahead

This right here, is GREAT NEWS for PRESCO and OKOMU!
I already highlighted the immense value accretive potential for both coys in time past.

For context, this can further increase the plausibility of higher fx revaluation gains from higher export... to help bridge the widening gap of demand-supply disequilibrium with these sought of stringent policies from the Intl front.
...add that to the already favourable policies from the local/domestic front and maybe you might begin to see why you need those 2 coys in your portfolio.

As I mentioned in the article, Indonesia and Malaysia are the 2 world biggest exporters of CPO (oil palm) with both accounting for near 85% of global export peg.
Before now, the supply shortages meant that they were collectively only able to meet up with <39% of global demand... with these policies though, they'll probably meet only <20%.
Mr PRESCO and OKOMU can of course tap from that balance of 80% supply shortfall.
I also forsee a slow but steady top-up in price of local palm oil within the year.

1st it was covid-induced disruption slowing down on previous supply levels...
Next it was the matter of accelerating global demand for CPO as an alternative source of energy (biofuels) further taken a bite on supply amidst pent up demand...
And a few months ago, it was the Russian-Ukraine crises further exacerbating the pressure on supply and widening the already high damand-supply gap.
Now it's the thing about acts of protectionism by the key producers of the commodity (CPO) as a strategy to ensure self-sufficiency within their domestic markets.
In PRESCO and OKOMU... I believe!

I expect a 31-43.7% uptick in NPM, CCC, AER, CGPR and JPBM and that, from a conservative risk-discounted estimate for YE 2022.

HOLD... BUY!

NOTE: Due diligence still applies as always.

Interesting take...
*Despite low dividend payout some stocks performed really well

*Stanbic and sterling so behind

*Ucap, though behind PZ, did well with a 50% return from 2022 opening price. More explicitly if you had bought ucap in d last week December or first week January the accumulated return on your investment would have been around 50%.

*GTCO despite higher dividend payout has had not so good performance.

*Fidelity with 72%

*etc, etc

Notes:
CP=current price
IP=opening price for d year 2022
Yield= dividend divided by IP in %
Growth=% change from IP to CP

Also, garbage in garbage out applies, d data I used may not be accurate.

Well done sir.
You did the computation yourself?

Glancing thru the table I saw some incorrect figures......and the first two that caught my attention was WEMA and ETI.....
You may want to recheck and make amendment.....if applicable. smiley

WEMA: Noticed you only consider the opening and the current price to arrive at your Growth %......but I think you didn't factor-in the reconstruction aspect of the shares into 3:1........
So WEMA couldn't have delivered +334% from Jan to Now.....

ETI:
ETI peaked in Jan 28, 2022 when the closing price was 13.10.......can we just easily ignore this?
