It seems there is an explanation for the reduced/negative EPS of Dangote sugar. There was no trace of reduction in overall performance or health. The bug that makes some cows fatter makes others leaner - this common threat is affecting all businesses.

Last last Alhaji will not lose, he will use Dangote Food to make up for the Dangote Sugar loss . If you are already in the bus , don't panic. Things are not as bad as they seems. The cash flow is still very HEALTHY. The Dangote Sugar result would have been a very good one if not for FINANCE COST . The company is still as strong as ever. You are not the only one. I strongly believe it will end well with Dangote Food. Alhaji no dey carry last , he won't let BUAFOOD trash him . Dangote Food will be rewarding if you can be patient.

Aiico result is still a good one. Considering last year result was boosted by the earnings from selling a subsidiary (discontinued operations).

The forex loss rely affected the performance of Dangote Sugar.



Looking at the result the company would have done extremely well but for the finance cost



Revenue increased from N185 billion to N202 billion



Gross profit increased from N38 billion to N58 billion


Gross margin increased from 20.5% to 28.7%


Operating profit increased from N34 billion to N52 billion


Operating margin increased from 18.3% to 25.7%


Earnings Before Interest and Taxes increased from N37 billion to N65 billion

The Company in 2021 acquired 100% interest in Siat Nigeria Limited.
