customstreet: Am experiencing having a stock that is going through this phase of consolidation for the first time. Is it in my best interest to sell before the suspension or still keep holding while all the suspension and restructuring are going on. Although my plan is to hold for long |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 1:15pm On Aug 27, 2023 |
vacanci: The book value of Dangsugar before the exchange loss was 14 naira, and Nascon was approximately 7 naira. I estimate that Dangote Rice should be between 14 and 7 naira. Assuming dangote Foods opens at 100 naira. Based on the above data, the worst-case scenario from Dangsugar's perspective would be a 2:1:2 sharing or 2/5, or 40% of 1 Dangote Foods stock. The best-case scenario would be a 2:1:1 or 2/4, or 50% valuation. If a Dangote Foods stock opens at 100 naira, then we can translate that to a current value of 40 or 50 naira respectively. So, if Dangote goes above 60 before restructuring, it would be slightly better to sell and buy back after. That is, if it opens at 100. If it were to open at 80, selling at above 55 is smart. Just playing with numbers. 4 Likes |

What is the book value of Geregu and BUAFOODS? What is happening and what is going to happen to Dangote Foods transcends Book Value. A lot of power play is going on. Dangote Food is the best bet for Alhaji to consolidate and retain his position as the richest black man As far as cement is concerned, the new administration's favourite is WAPCO . Dangote refinery might not become fully operational in some months to come, so Alhaji's surest way to retain is Richest Black Man Alive position and consolidate it, is through DangFoods BUAFOODS with EPS of 5.29 and dividends of 4.5 is trading at 165 , and the fear of Dangfoods might even make Rabiu push it higher ... Is 165 a fair value of BUAFOODS? If BUAFOODS trades at fair value , I bet the current Forbes ranking of RABIU will drop. A silent healthy rivalry is going on between Alhaji and Rabiu. These billionaires silently fight for market leader ( Share price and Capitalisation ), Rabiu has been the leader in that space for a while now , and I strongly believe Alhaji is coming with DangFoods to Leapfrog him. Will Rabiu give you up the position easily ? The answer is No! The more Rabiu fights back by pumping , the more Alhaji intervenes and the more the PATIENT INVESTORS smile to the bank. A lot of profit taking will happen along the way but DangFoods will definitely make the PATIENT ONES SMILE. Putting Book Value , Market Value , Fair Value and whatever values aside, DangFoods is a stock any long term discerning investors should have in his or her portfolio. Food will forever be a constant necessity and the population is projected to increase geometrically in a few years time. DangFoods will surely dominate the industry with economies of scale . The forward and backward integration is projected to be fantastic. I won't be surprised if DangFoods sells at 500 or more in five years from now. As for Transcorp ... I will not hit the sell button now. I expect Tony to continue to bag the good deals. Every administration has favourites. When other billionaires were lobbying to see PBAT after he was declared winner of the election , the President went to Tony's house to thank him specially and personally. E get why . FOLLOW THE MONEY. This is not a Buy / Hold / Sell Recommendations. 7 Likes |

Streetinvestor2:What happened is most likely not your note comparison on Caverton........but I suspected TRANSCORP as one of the causes...... Loco has made lots of wrong moves on Transcorp since when it was trading at below N1 and must have been painful to him. He was saying with almost all certainty that Transcorp won't move anywhere, he pulled out and went to Caverton.......just for Transcorp to make U-turn and started racing up...... This market can't be predicted with confidence, it can rubbish some theories sometimes, FA/TA and even the analysis of the experts. Transcorp is again on full bid @6.38 today...... 5 Likes

yMcy56:Thats why he deactivated. But He needs to know that we all miscalculate from time to time. I remember making similar mistakes even on transcorp itself. I remember having millions of transcorp but selling much to explore other stocks then suddenly transcorp rise started, I had to sell the new stock only to get very few units of transcorp. Same happened to me in Dangsugar. I sold at 18 and had to buy back at 23. Sold totalenergies at 200 to re enter at 255. Mistake he made was not re entering on time. 4 Likes |

Everybody observing table manners. If you're in caverton just close your eyes and sit tight. Watch out for Sterling sub 3(likely) Assess your risk properly. That is how I've tied funds to oando and am like "I would have been in dangSugar and comeback with profit and still see it kissing lower 5". We pray for more 10 10 on uncle Tee. Please observe Due diligence.. 1 Like |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 11:03am On Aug 28, 2023 |
Mpeace:Exactly!! Same thing I told one person as well. It's not the mistake made that was actually the issue, but failure to have re-entered when you sighted positive news and renewed investor sentiments! ...Especially as a jijoist major that he is. Loco, if you're reading try and come back, learn from the mistakes made and become stronger. If everyone should be telling you their mistakes at one point or the other, you'll see that you're not alone. Opportunities will always surface from time to time in this Market. 1 Like |
