Kudos to SEC for wielding the stick of suspension on trading on Oando shares otherwise the selling price of Oando shares would have continued to sky rocket based on the media hype and the hope of positive turnaround rather than on actual improved financial report.

Some people will have to personally experience loss and disappointment before they learn. So it will always be fruitless attempting to caution, educate or protect
them. While some will allow wise counsel to prevail.

I am happy for the pivotal role SEC played here and so proud of them for their courage. I pray they do more to sanitize the space so that people will invest their money on facts and figures and not invest blindly or on media hype.

Excellent post!
Ironically, the same SEC was accused of being ''bought'' over by ''the powers that be'' and that Wale has ''influenced'' or ''pocketed' all of them, so he could do whatever he wants and SEC would do nothing.
Now, we have seen that the SEC is actually doing something positive for investors and the market at large.

Let us bash Wale for his failures and poor performance of Oando and others like him, but reduce the unfounded and baseless conspiracy theories, lies, rumours, propaganda and mischief etc. that we Nigerians are of fond of peddling against everyone, every institution, especially politicians and persons in high offices. We lie too much as a people, both leaders and followers.
What we say should be supported with some credible or verifiable evidence or at least, in good conscience.

Please drop the company names on time, before Xmas/New Year expenses would disrupt all the plans for NGX purchases

Result couldn't help, Interim Dividend couldn't help, unless there is a major big news to drive sentiment in favour of the stock, the real fall of Aradel still dey do press up.

News are coming for Aradel...

1. Divestment of 1.3billion dollar shell on shore assets by renaissance consortium which comprises Aradel

2. PMS train in Aradel refinery is posed to be commissioned

These are fact you can verify

If you have it hold it for long term. Its a healthy coy. No shaking

Exited loss position already....now in profit..
* Increase in Revenue..
* Increase in PAT...
* Also working on erasing the so called debt they've been shouting about.....
So how's someone saying the company is gone with all these?
All these negative talks is looking more like bad belle to me, and someone somewhere getting pained that this company is improving. smiley

From experience, people who get investment from public intentionally increase COGS and administrative expenses to game investors. Forget all these founders stuff, all na scam. All these big men no get conscience

Agbalowomeri:

It is just because you guys are not aware about how those cowboys make their money. Tony has changed now because he has had his fill and want to enter billionnaire list. Reason you see he is pro-shareholders.

These guys make way more money through their chuachua. You think Wale no dey chop for the past 10 years wey Oando no give dividend?

No need to accuse anyone of bad belle. Let everyone share his opinions, and you pick which one makes sense to you.

I was just going through the Q2 2024 results and noticed a few things.

If possible, kindly repost to display the 3rd and 4th columns, where the results of the Group at Jun2024 are contained.
It seems the PAT in Jun2024 dropped to N62b from N112b in Jun2023.
But it looks not too bad considering that PAT for whole of FY2023 was N60b.
Let's hope there would not be further adjustments/reclassification that would reduce these numbers
