Ok.
So you referred to note 6-8, I cant seems to see the negative you referred to there.

I was surprised how you happened to mention the retained loss almost immediately when result was out, we know those who will rush to come and point out negatives so quickly, especially for stocks like JAPAUL.

Anyway like earlier said, everyone should analyze the result based on their perspectives, but JAPAUL will defy all paralysis when the time is right to move up.

Once GTI and Futureview takes position in a stock and increase their holdings for that matter, I know they've seen what we can't see now from afar off. 😊

Guess the guy selling or dragging the price down is still in the market, but we'll know how far at the right time.
pls have you survived a bear market before like 2020, 2008. It will quietly humble one.

The question is: The so called sustained loss, what brought it about? Was it there in 2023 FYE?

The "sustained loss" to me was a working Capital due to the private placement done in August 2024, that was why it's reflecting in the 2024 FYE.
If you check thru the result, you'll see where this was identified as equity as well.

Anyway, everyone is free to give the result his/her interpretation based on their objectives or mindset, but to Mcy, it was a good result and an improved one for that matter.

The Onshore biz delivered so well this time around too.

**NB: Needs to see where the sustained loss came from**
what about the cashflow the offshore income is in receivables. This company have weakness in earning quality and questionable management. Time is everyone's teacher. We are in a bull market hmm!

You're right that we are at peak interest rates but guess what? (I suspect) Banks are buying the FGN bonds at record pace. And when rates start to fall these bonds will go up in value and we will potentially have another windfall.

Heads banks win, tails banks win
inflation means borrowers are passing cost to consumers, high interest rate causes deflation, credit needs a booming economic on small steroids I.e healthy I inflation. Currently banks are soon going to be honest with bad loans that got cbn asking them to shore up equity for shocks. Abi otedola action 🎬 😏 film not letting you know what up soon.

I had just gone through the corporate disclosure released by Transcorp Power. The total N5.00 dividend is very poor for a stock close to N360. Is this not a good time to exit ? undecided undecided undecided undecided

With companies like Transcorp Power, why would I not concentrate my investment journey with Banking Sector that is ready to reward me with good dividend yield.

Aquitane was promoted by young bankers in their late 20s and early 30s.

They were the account officers of some of the oil marketing companies in one of the new generation banks.

They were motivated by what Wale did with Unipetrol now known as Oando, a situation whereby a small company promoted by Wale and his goons bought the almighty Unipetrol.

Billions of Naira was raised through Private Placement, unfortunately investors are yet to reap the fruits of their investment

It is a great company, I don't have the stock. I will
be ready to buy it at anything below N300 or forward PE of 18

The growth potential is enormous, it is a wonderful business, with a bright future for long term investors.

You've sounded like my formal stockbroker which firm now defunct. In 2008 when I wanted to buy N300,000 worth of Nestle at N100/unit he ask me similar question when ll nestle get to N200 ..... I finally bought 200units of Nestle worth with N20,000+ & and with his advice I pured the rest into the so call 'peny' stock e.g capoil etc. Two weeks later SEC suspended most of them freed some after 1 week, in 2day it became the turn NSE to delist them..... The remaining 1s have remain at their car park ever since e.g capoil from N13 to 50k others died natural death e.g finbank to mention a few. But my N2000+ Nestle has recovered 4 me all my loses via price appreciation, bonuses & dividends a has also made more profits 4 me. What killed the stockbroking firm? 'peny' stocks..... Gud luck 'mr pany stocks'.

Thank you sir. Will hang on for a long term experience and pray it can compete with Geregu Power (in price) in the long run because it churns out more generation than Geregu. But, I guess the large outstanding shares is what is affecting its pricing and possibly Otedola factor when comparing it with Geregu grin

Yes, I lost my investment in Oceanic Bank andBank PHB 😢. Though, just some Afolabi units I bought during Public Offering. But, this bank metamorphosed into Keystone bank (if I am not mistaken). I think the CBN alleged that the CEO mismanaged funds. A new board was constituted. I lost everything. Share business has it's own disadvantages.

Na greed kill the retiree cheesy
emmanuelewumi:
I remember the retiree wno turned N1 million to N20 million within few months after attending a seminar in 2005 using the buy and sell signals of the seminar organizers.

Until village people pushed Baba to sell his house, used the proceeds and N20 million profit to invest in highly speculative positions and private placements.

The shock of getting trapped and losing all his capital made the old man to develop stroke in 2008 and died 4 years after almost penniless

They're a big player in the energy sector and they have more installed capacity than GEREGU. A sector that's not so much negatively affected by balablu.

I want to use this opportunity to thank you for all you do here. I am always eager to read your posts, and I must confess, it has guided me so well and saved me from MM grin

That what makes financial stocks risky and with low p/e it the quality of assets and earnings. You cant derive high interest from low risk loans. It a wide guess

Really, when they bought tools from a guru and have direct access to the buy and sell signals from him.

The guru a trained Statisticians went as far as South Africa and US to improve on his technical analysis skills and tools. Not now when you can learn on YouTube
