I love the passion of Locotrader.
However, I don't flow with his brazen estimations.

This same CHAMS was projected to close at FB on several occasions but fell short hardly gaining 2%.
The current projection is N15 in 2025... smiley

I have my reasons for N15 projections by year end not now.I have 25m units there as at 4/2/2025 and not selling anytime soon.I am not bothered hence I bought all at N2 average price.I am expecting 700%+ increase in chams btw now and 31st Jan 2026.

I like your boldness, confidence and strategy. This is how one can become a billionaire just like that with some undervalued stocks and a bit of luck.
Wish you all the best.
I did something similar when Oando was selling around N4-N6 and now waiting for the right time/price to sell some units , especially after the share redistribution .

The huge finance costs on the debt is depressing profits and contributing to loss making.
Poor or inadequate profits would make it difficult for the company to attract more investors and also affect the share price.
The crude oil in the ground stills requires funds (cashflow) for it to be pumped and sold to generate revenue, otherwise it would remain dormant. So it is advisable they reduce the debt and related finance costs in order to improve profit margins.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by HesInMe: 10:14pm On Feb 04
Is that a joke? I'm a big fan of the minister, but the kindest way to interpret his claim is that he is confabulating.

Don't buy the local pharma chest-thumping. The biggest challenge with local manufacturing is that they are import-dependent. We import nearly all of our APIs - active pharmaceutical ingredients. That's the thing that cures the disease. We don't have the talent or the scale to make APIs. Most local drug companies just make the excipients (starch, etc.) that are used to deliver the APIs.

Hello guys

Please i have a question that bothers me a bit.

When placing a buy order on my app (Meritrade) it gives me option of Market and Limit price. With different good for day(s).
I tried selecting limit one time (with option of good for 7 days).
Previously i had been trading using market price and good for the day.

Please can someone explain what the differences are, what conditions each option is best and which to stick to?

As Heirs Holdings Group continues to invest in human capital, as a strategic driver of the Group’s broader ambitions, I am pleased to welcome two exceptional leaders into our Group:

1. Azubike Emodi has been appointed MD/CEO, Afriland Properties Plc. He succeeds Uzo Oshogwe who has led the company as its founding MD/CEO since 2013, and who recently was appointed CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc.

Azubike brings over 20 years of experience spanning financial services, real estate development, and strategic planning.

A visionary leader, he has consistently driven organisational growth and delivered transformative results in companies such as the Royal Bank of Canada, VFD Group, VBank, Anchoria Asset Management, and most recently, Herel Global, where he spearheaded high-impact financial and real estate projects.

Azubike will drive the vision of Afriland Properties, creating value from its position as one of Nigeria’s largest land banks, and delivering the significant residential and commercial real estate projects in its project pipeline.

2. Chidi Okpala has been appointed as the Executive Director – Payments, Group Integration & Strategy (PGIS) across Heirs Holdings Group.

In this role, Chidi will head our technology and healthcare business sectors, and work with the leadership team to execute strategies that support the Group’s expansion plans.

Chidi brings over two decades of leadership experience across financial services, FinTech, telecommunications, and strategy consulting, working with leading firms like Accenture, United Bank for Africa, Bharti Airtel International. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Asante Financial Services Group.

I am confident in the value these leaders will bring to our Group.

Please join me in welcoming them to their new roles.

How can that be done?
Distribute ones and monetize which rest?

Is it that complicated.
Out of xyz units, distribute x and sell yz and put proceeds into balance sheet

Not really a new information but FYI for Aradel owners. The PE firm is still selling down their stake. They're the ones that won't let it go higher
Im not sure why they're doing it on the open market like this but I guess they are yet to find a buyer for the huge quantity
All the intermittent fill bid Aradel has been doing since listing never do to sell off?

I think Aradel has done more than 4 full bids at different times if not more since listing..

This is simply Chams in high places grin

Though I don't use meritrade, I use investment one and I know most of the stockbroking apps have similar configuration

Market price - This option means you buy at the prevailing offer price. In most cases picking this option will make you buy at the highest price compare to other bidders. This option is best used when a stock is tending towards full bid otherwise it's a big disadvantage especially for a market tending towards full offer.

Price Limit gives investors/traders option of bidding a price within +/-10% of the opening price of a stock. In this case, you determine the price you wish to buy or sell a stock.

However, you can't bid lower than 10% or higher than 10% of the opening price of a stock. The advantage here is obvious you buy at your own price. Hence you sometimes read on this thread of folks saying I'm waiting at my junction to enter a stock They can actually wait sometimes by placing a bid at a price limit . The disadvantage is that you may miss out of stock that is having a good rally because while waiting at a particular price, the stock may keep rising in price and gone beyond your acceptable price.

Good for the day or any number of days is instructing the system to keep your bid on a stock for such and such number of days.
From your example: Good for the day means your bid is valid for just that day ie if no deal your money returns back to your trading account
while good for 7 days means keep my bid valid for 7 days or any number of days you picked or the system allows.

I hope this help.

I no read the story. But it could be related to some Nigerians coming to attend dental clinic in Nigeria as there are some advantages for doing so. Or like that CNN anchor story.

Former CNN anchor Isha Sesay, of Sierra Leonean descent, brought her mother to Nigeria for medical treatment. She praised the Nigerian medical staff for their exceptional care, noting that her mother was admitted to Lagoon Hospital in Apapa, where she spent three months in the Intensive Care Unit.

Stuff like this here and there.

I agree on best brains but not hospital.
Healthcare is largely infrastructure.

As for brain, the research centres with recurrent allocations to sustain innovation aren't there for the brainy health personnels to prove their worth.

Well, probably true with UKs current health care crisis but its basically an admin/population Problem not poor treatment or lack of equipment or maintenance.
And their destination is probably LAGOS.. That's all.
A stretch would be National Hospital Abuja or some military hospitals.
most na referral things.
