It's probably a one off .. loot from aradel investment.. hoping they'll give a bountiful payout as dividend which will drive price up steeply.. maybe scrip issue fit join too. That profit for 2024 is too juicy for them not to give we shareholders something gbemulicious

They may find another investment or already on something similar.

But one of these companies has just developed an innovative dividend called "share redistribution", which they will pay to shareholders for the next three years, barring any unforseen shenanigans.

Good morning everyone, up till now, this issue has not been settled. I mailed cscs and they copied meristem to respond but since then, I have not gotten any update.

Please what more should I do?

jp130:
Update on this DIRECT CASH SETTLEMENT
As at yesterday, I didn't get the proceeds of sale of my japaul. So I mailed cscs with the sale contract note from meristem. I hope this issue is resolved quickly

Somebody owes you and finds it hard to pay back his debt.
The same person now makes some arrangements to surrender some of his properties to settle his debt.
Will you call that arrangement a favor or an innovative dividend

It is a two way street. Aradel has shares in Conhall, Conhall has shares in Aradel. There's an individual that links them together, his name has slipped my mind. I don't think Conhall has disclosed their holdings in them publicly but you just have to take my word for it.
They have about 20-30mn units of Aradel, post the stock split

Kindly indulge me once more... Did the stock split contribute to the profit of conhall or it's just purely dividend? Trying to figure out if same huge profit from aradel can be regularly replicated year to year

I think the stock split can only contribute to the profit if it was sold on NGX after the split/listing. If not, it will just only increase the asset value of Conhall.

I no check anything about am oo, just a layman reasoning. Na the Oga wey get the question go get better answer.

There are 2 types of dividends: cash dividend and stock dividend.

I have much of Oando but I still pray and hope Tinubu loses the 2027 elections. Investments and the financial markets require a president/govt that would be very meticulous with good economic policies that ensure macroeconomic stability. To hell with nonsense.
If Oando is not able to show positive recovery between now and 2027, I will rebalance my portfolio.
Even right now, I have plans to sell some units after the first and second tranche of the share redistribution and then let's see what happens to the rest .

... and where do you see the better candidates and where are they coming from? Do you mean fromthe current set of politicians?

Let the masses that have suffered decide the alternative option, and they would if there is free and fair election.

I think itโ€™s both the share price gain and dividend income theyโ€™re counting.
Not sure how it works accounting wise on their PnL statement because I donโ€™t think theyโ€™ve actually sold their stake. Maybe they have

Neimeth paid 7 kobo in 2022. None in 2023 and none in 2024. If they do not pay in this 2025 and in 2026, they will join the List.

We use 4 years tenure of No-Dividend gap, before adding a Company to the List.

Lasaco last paid in 2021 when they paid 10 kobo. If they do not pay in this 2025, they will join the List.

What do you think?
