The night walks fast nigh,
And we in frightened about her asks why.
To bed we should go in peace,
But night opposes this with her mischiefs.
What's next in her plan? Another sly?
Like the rat, bits and blow
The breeze cause us mischiefs as it blows,
And fright as ussual invades,
And the cause of us freezing can rarely be fetched.
Then we pray and watch the night
Then slowly but gradually the day overules her.
But this will not last forever
For the day must surely in turn be overuled by the night.
And to our beds again in fright
When shall this surely end.
