There absolutely nothing wrong if GEJ chooses to kneel down publicly before GOD. Muslim presidents also bow down in mosques publicly to Allah. So what's the fuss? GOD is above all!

The fool says in his heart that there is no God. The bible says, let the people that are called by my name humble themself....
He knelt before God Almighty, and that we should all pray for him for wisdom.
Mind you, one of your spiritual obligations, is to pray for your leaders.
Dont forget king Jehosaphat in the bible. He praise and worship God, and we all know the rest of the story.
Lets stop acting like fools, that he knelt before man and not God. Even if he knelt before man, the man is a Man-of-God.

Why do nigerian Christians on nairaland pretend to be blind, dumb, blind and brain dead? The main grouse of the poster is president Jonathan kneeling and bowing before Adeboye, and not not kneeling and bowing before God.

In pictures, we see the president bowing in front of Adeboye and not God. If you people now represent God with Adeboye, then you have broken the first 3 commandments, which says thou shall not have any other god, thou shall not make any graven image to represent God (Adeboye's image is now a representation of God) and thou shall not bow down before any image. It would have been abominable for the Jews to bow down before any man of god including Moses who brought the commandments.

So Christians should stop blaspheming, ADEBOYE IS NOT GOD AND ADEBOYE IS NOT A REPRESENTATIVE OF GOD, he is simply a servant of God.

If you had survived 1/100th of what Jonathan survived and still remain President and Commander-in-chief, you will roll on the floor with gratitude to God everytime you appear in church.

You made a poor example justifying your point. The bible is replete with myths and superstitious beliefs. How can expressing your opinion about your husband's wreckless and possibly alcohol influenced disgraceful public behaviours cause infertility? You have no basic knowledge of human biology.

If pastor Adegboye was as humble as he presents himself, he should have knelt down with the president together with the other church embers to pray. Is pastor Adegboye now God? Why does the pastors not kneel down with the congregation to pray? Arrogance!!

You take the bible too literally. The bible is not a book of historical facts. But myths and allegories and mysteries packaged together for spiritual enlightenment. Please read more about how the bible came to be, written by sages to establish the Jewish religion, and later on Christianity.

I know you are not a Christian even a devoted muslim will never post such foolish post as yours. In your Bible there is nothing like kneeling down and pray but in mine there are hundreds of act of kneeling before God or a vessel of God and pray to God almighty. Check below extracts from the Holy Bible which I believe is the same thing all over the world and see how people knelt before Jesus and Jesus Himself knelt before God almighty and prayed.


Matthew 17:14 “And they having come to the crowd, a man came near to him (Jesus), kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy.'

Mark 1:40 “Then a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."

Mark 10:17 “And he going out into the way, one running near, and kneeling to him , asked him, Inherently good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?'

Luke 22:41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed,

2 Chronicles 6:13 “(for Solomon had made a bronze platform five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court; and he stood on it , knelt down on his knees before all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven);'

2 Chronicles 7:3 “And all the children of Israel saw the fire come down and the heavy glory of Jehovah upon the house, and they bent down on their knees with their nostrils to the ground upon the pavement, and prostrated themselves, and raised their hands to Jehovah, because of his goodness, because of his eternal mercy.'

2 Chronicles 7:14 “And if my people which are called by my name shall bend their knees , and judge in prayer, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will attentively hear from the heavens, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'

Guys dont just say words cos the thought of it lingers into your heads. Where will ethnicity and religious diversity lead us to. GEJ did what he thought was right. He didnt kneel before Pastor Adeboye but before God. A man who kneels before God can stand before any man. A real man is a man who loves God. Pimp_lucious be careful of the words you say.

GEJ is a very smart man.
He knows Nigerians have been brainwashed with religion, and with this singular act, all sins are forgiven. At least millions of Christians will vote for him. Why wont they? Did almighty daddy GO Adeboye not annoint him infront of millions of Nigerians. Jonathan must be the choosen one even if the reality on ground says things are not improving.

There is nothing wrong at all. Even Presidents of the world like Abraham Lincoln knelt down for prayers, even Obama...so why shld it been seen as wrong if president Jonathan knees to pray to God & not man. See wat Lincoln have to say; President Abraham Lincoln once said, “I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go.  My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for the day.”
