 It has been reported that the Argentine legend who has recently turned to coaching for a career has been approached by the Iraqi Football Association. Diego Maradona, who coached the Argentine national team in the 2010 Corld Cup has indicated interest in the offer to coach Iraq. Last year Maradona was the coach of Al-Wasl football club in Iraq. He was fired after supposedly performing below expectations at the club. |

It has been reported that former England coach, Sven-Göran Eriksson has also been contacted for the job of coaching the Iraqi national team. |
