I am using HTC vivid, i have changed my APNs as someone earlier suggested from blackberry.net to glosecure to see if i will be able to browse, but still couldn't. I actually tried a friend's SIM already activated on the blackberry plan yesterday, and it worked flawlessly, that was what encouraged me to purchase a glo SIM card today. I so much detest when things don't really go straight forward especially when it involves something i'm paying for, that's why i don't go for cheats, i was really convinced this service was deliberately opened by glo and it is legal in all manner.

What is the difference in these two plans, or is it just to dash glo extra 200, and God knows i hate dashing any netweork any 1 kobo.

Somonth is the social blackberry package that has only chat services like bbm, aim, gtalk, yahoo messenger + email, no browsing (I think) while the comonth has all the chat apps + browsing.

The two plans give you the same 3GB and no difference if your using non BB device but different if your using a BB phone.

I think you have to call glo CC to activate your 3G (Internet). If you can't surf tate net with Glosecure that means your sim Internet is not yet activated. Call there CC they will be able to help

I think i had a similar issue trying to get a friend's sim to browse too, i noticed it happens mainly on new sims. Glo unlike other networks sims dont browse as in plug and play unless you ask them to enable the sim to browse.
Follow the following steps i followed and am sure you will get your sim to browse.

1. Call cc to make sure they have enabled you sim to browse after you registered it. ( Note most of those agents are pathetic and dont know what to do but just ask them to check their system if your sim is enabled to browse).
2. Put your sim into a nokia phone that browses, recharge like 100 and try to browse with it normally. (pls, dont change the apn to blackberry.net yet)
3. Once you are able to initiate connections, congrats you sim is live and active to be used.
4. Replace your sim on you HTC fon and change the apn to blackberry.net and enjoy your money.

Sending messages to 777, 127, 1234, 4567, etc on Glo are usually free with 0.00 naira on your account. Please, check whether your centre number have been tampered with. The centre number is +2348050001501. Do check and see whether it is correct.

You are right, i bought glo modem only to discover it wasnt glo bolt modem, i quickly rushed to glo office to complain, but to my suprise, the glo guy told me im lucky to have netpro modem because it is Crackable, but glo bolt modem cant be unlucked.....So guyz, shine your eye, buy only netpro modem, Globolt modem is UNLOCKABLE

Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! Just input the correct settings which is name, GLO Blacberry APN, blackberry.net Make sure your username and password empty and you are good to go. Good luck.

Must you go this length to abuse the customer care? Normally, when you using a BB phone, you must have at least N30 on your account before you can use it. But, using this Glo BB plans on phones and other devices, you don't actually need any money on your account before you can use it, provided you have subscribe to the Glo BB plan already.
