I want u to brief me on how to tackle FA since IFRS have changed somethings...its as though some textbks are currently getting outdated xcept they bring a new edition out this year or next year. Can u recommend an FA-TEXTBOOK (nigerian) that has CURRENTLY effected IFRS changes in them i.e. in all its accounting TOPICS.

Hi, don't think there is any nigerian FA textbook that incoporates IFRS, just get your FAMS 1&2, Innocent for group accounts and IFRS material. Read the IFRS wrt the syllabus, while reading ya group account textbook, notice the changes in terms and arrangements of accounts (format) that has taken place, e.g non-controlling interest for minority interest, etc, in your accounts (annual report), there is statement of position instead of balance sheet, statement of profit and loss/comprehensive income, etc. Nothing much, just make sure you brush through ya IFRS material (according to ya syllabus) and you are good to go.

I will send a very good IFRS material to you, I used it for both PE 1 and 2.

I have an IFRS material but don't have Innocent's book (heard group a/c was treated well) yet.
I don't know abt FAMz (tell me importance of the book), also is he the guy they call Robert @wyse?
I'm takin ur advice on readin the pack for aaa & i.t.

FAMs will help you out in terms of other shitties aside group accounts(e.g contract acct, branch a/c etc), while that innocent book will take you thru group acct step by step, your IFRS material should be self explantory, so just go thru it when you want to.

Maybe you get someone to explain that group accts to you, cos you might get to a point where you may nt comprehend anymore (I may be wrong if you are the genious type sha, cos I went thru all myself).

Will advise you to start with FAMS first, then Group acct, chip in IFRS when ever you wanna refresh ya brain. START NOW!
