The 23-year-old girl, who was gangraped and brutally assaulted in a Delhi bus nearly a fortnight ago, died at at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Saturday. Her body is likely to be brought back to India tonight for last rites.
Meanwhile, Indian President, President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday condoled the death of the 23-year-old gang-rape victim, who died early this morning in a Singapore hospital.
The President expressed his grief over the death of the girl.
The girl, who was admitted to the well-known multi-organ transplant facility Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore in an extremely critical condition, breathed her last at 4:45 am (2:15 am India time). She was earlier treated at the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
She was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a Delhi bus a fortnight ago.

India have got a population of 1.2 Billion, that is more than the whole of Africa with an excess of 200 million. Now according to statistic the ratio of girls to boys is 2:1 meaning there are 800 million girls in India, this mofos couldn't get themselves one each out of that huge number and date? Now you can imagine that population demostrating on the streets of India, the Indian Govt. Will have a lot of work to do

i followed the story from when it was reported that she and her male friend were abused in the bus. I was just hoping she got better. But she died 11:30pm on friday nigerian time
