Committee member Senator Benedict Ayade, reportedly said; “It is unacceptable to tell us you’ve spent N2.2bn on your secretariat and N75m on tours in just four months without providing the details. We must know places where you travelled to and how many of you embarked on those journeys. We must also know the details of the spending on your secretariat.” See the siphoning?? 1 Like |

An excerpt from the article Among the knocks that the programme has received from the general public since its establishment, perhaps the latest one was from the National Assembly which has raised more critical questions on how far the project have positively touched the lives of the common people. www.dailyindependentnig.com/2012/12/uncertain-steps-of-sure-p-engagements/ 2 Likes |

The SURE-P budget is not even up to $1B, why are the Legislative nematodes making noise about the programme thats meant for the masses ? Should we rather increase their salaries instead ? |

It's a shame!!! Nigerians are doomed. I don't expect any meaningful development till 2015 when GEJ might be kicked out of office. |

Whenever Jonathan announces a new committee and programme, if you look well you will discover it is another Plug & Loot avenue. Have you forgotten is spent an budgeted excess of over 2,000,000,000,000 (2trillion) on Subsidy payment alone in 2011. How much unbudgeted excesses did he spend on other sectors all these years? 1 Like |

When some of us say GEJ is a clueless opportunist not fit to lead a ward within a local government, we are attacked by the childish and mindless supporter of this abject mediocrity stagnating Nigeria in an age where Banana republics are even making progress. Is wasteful and inefficient duplication of processes not one of the abject signs of woeful governance? This is the problem with accidental leaders. They tend to worsen the problem because a trial and error approach is all they have in their arsenal since they were never fit for leadership let alone be prepared for it. The Lawmakers who expressed their total dismay and lack of confidence on the activities of the Christopher Kolade led Programme, however stressed that the agency was nothing, but a duplication of activities already carried out by existing Ministries, Department and Agencies, MDAs in the country. 1 Like |

egift: Whenever Jonathan announces a new committee and programme, if you look well you will discover it is another Plug & Loot avenue.the budgeted excess of N2 trillion on fuel subsidy came about because fuel subsidy payments weren't supposed to be in the budget in the first place as agreed by the federal, state govts & the NLC/TUC with emphasis on the labour unions who deceive Nigerians by claiming to fight for their right but do something different instead. This agreement to remove petroleum subsidy came as far back as oct/nov 2011 and I was surprised when people came into the streets chanting war songs in anger when indeed the govt announced its planned removal. |

Last month, November 2012, a program was organized by PDP for youths in my senatorial district. They were gathered to attend a computer training program that supposed to go for 3 months after which each participant would be setup with computer systems and capital so that they can be selfreliance. The program was said to be part of SURE-P. Alas, this was only took through a period of 1wk instead of 3months. They were asked to write an exam at the end of the week. Computer systems and money were nowhere to be found. Somebody I know who went for the program said that the program was only used to promote PDP as interjections of PDP POWER rented the air now and then. This government apart from nonperforming, being stupid and deceitful, is full of lies. |

I cannot believe what I am reading. So Kolade and his organization did not see anything to spend the money on and so ended up keeping 93 billoin naira ? Is he the modern day Silas Marner. Does he not understand that when we have good roads, steady electricity, water supply and security, the private sector will resurrect and provide jobs? Giving our young men keke. sewing machines, chinese motorcycles, etc is not the correct wayb to tackle unemployment 1 Like |
