Evenin the Bible, if you check Deuteronomy 28, after the blessings, if you no hear, you get the curses.
Anyway, my prayer for my President is that this 2013, may Obatala and Amadioha collabo to treat GEJ the way he treats Nigerians.
Re: Let's Pray For Our Leaders And Not Insult Them In 2013 by Eziachi: 5:22pm On Jan 01, 2013
ujoatu: Why do we insult and curse our leaders.

A favourite past time of ours is to insult our leaders calling them names like Retarding, zombie, useless etc. I personally do not think its good as our religions urges ur 2 pary 4 our leaders.I dnt believe that GEJ sits at aso rock doing nothing but sipping moet. In the area I live,we now have light for 18hrs out of 24hrs a day. That's an achievement.
What pains me most is that its our youths some of whom have never been course reps in their lives that trades these insults. If you ve ever been in any position of leadership, then u get 2 understand.

Let's start 2013 by praying 4 our leaders so it canbe well with us and 4 those who are bent on continuing this, take it from me, WHEN YOU GET OLD ENOUGH TO BE A LEADER 2, INSULTS AND CURSES WOULD BE THROWN AT YOU AS WELL.AMEN
You think that the Chinese pray for their leaders before they can work for the people or stop stealing from the people? Religion and faith is good but faith/religion in the mind of Nigerians are like chainsaw in the hand of a lunatic. You don't always ask for your likes to pray for armed robbers, kidnappers and rapists, do you?

What is the difference between a typical Nigeria leader and those mentioned? Absolutely nothing! They are in the same breath of cruel, heartless, sadistic, careless, little value for life of others, greedy, mindless and outright wickedness.
THere isn't much apart between 2012/2013 in their book, apart from the reverse in counting the dates, so your so-called leaders can only continue from where they left off in 2012.
Having power 18 hours a day is not an achievement and its an insult to a modern man, as many nation including your neighbours cameroon, some in their 50s has never experienced a power cut all their lives and here you are killing a goat to celebrate your pathetic 18hrs of power. What happened to the rest of the 4hrs? Darkness!
How many premature babies dies within that 4 hrs in lucky hospitals, because their lifesaving incubators went off life? My is, if you plant corn, its corn you are going to reap.
Those of you that sow mediocrity by celebrating mediocre leadership will always reap mediocrity. If you think this your prayer for heartless thieves is your needed indulgence, please carry on but I can assure you while you are busy praying, they are busy robbing you blind.
And God is not bothered with prayers of all sort. He is not stupid.

After voting, I pay my taxes, obey the laws, pay additional price for fuel, I grade the road to my house, dig a well for water and use generator to power my house.
My President gets 1Billion Naira for food anually, another 3Million for newspapers per day, 36Million to feed the wild animals in his zoo. He gets free fuel, free accomodation, wardrobe allowance, flies on the jet bought with my taxes and one stray sp.erm somewhere says that I should pray for him? Well my prayer is that may the curses of Deuteronomy 28 come upon him if he doesn't perform with all I've given him.

They don't need prayers, all they need is Ghetto justice. Tyre marks all over their head. How does a family with nothing to eat today pray for one that voted millions for his own feeding, this is outside his mouth watering salary. lives in a mansion totally rent free?

Your leaders insult you when they do not perform their obligations and steal with impunity what belong to every Nigerians. You don't pray for such, you take them out of positions. The problem with Nigerians is that we think we are religious. it's incredible how we deceive ourselves that way. Prayers would not give us good roads, good medical facilities, employment opportunities, etc. If all these are gotten by prayers, then it means the Americans, Canadians, British, Japanese, Chinese, Germans are world class prayer warriors. The bible says do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked, for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. How do you pray to God to fix your roads, create jobs, or good medical facilities when your leaders on a daily basis embezzle monies meant for all these projects. When you sow corruption, you reap the fruits of corruption. Nobody stands before a blackboard and prays the principle of mathematics to solve 2+2, you pick up a chalk and apply the principle of mathematics. I remember someone that started praying after exam that 'God, please let Lome be the capital of Ghana'. I asked why he said because he chose Lome as his answer in his exam. I am sure we all witnessed how the Egyptians changed their government recently and saved their futures. Until that day, when all Nigerians can come together with one voice and fight any government that fails in its obligations towards Nigerians, nothing will change. if you like sleep in cathedrals everyday praying! Nothing will change. Freedom is not actually free, it has a price, until that day when Nigerians are ready to be freed from corrupt government officials, nothing will change.

Any leaders that want our blessings should do their jobs. Do your job if you are in position of power, then I will pray for you everyday and ask God for more wisdom and understanding. Fail to do your job and I will place a curse on you and your unborn generations.

Give me the kind of Nigeria I crave for, and you will have my blessings, else I will curse you on a daily basis. Daniel said unto Belzazar, today your kingdom has been torn apart. Samuel said unto Saul, your kingdom has been taken away from you and given to your neighbour better than you. So I don't know why I should pray for my own corrupt leaders and ask God for more grease to their elbows.

Evil triumphs when the righteous keep quiet.

Stop praying fellow Nigerians, it doesnt work and iit will never work, be smart and educate yourself, some of you are so dumb. They are not our leaders, they should be serving us, stop voting for money, know ur right and educate people in your community about their right. Some of you have been to western society and some have but you have Facebook, twitter and so on....form a pressure group, insult them if they are wrong and praise anyone doing good with our money. Stop fu..c..k..in praying. God didn't come from heaven to help the Americans and the British, he won't come to help us , we're not special.

Good bless you man...please tell them. The so called religion that we so much preach we hardly practice it ask them if it was prayer that laid it upon the world powers leaders minds to think and dim it fit to build a better future for their unborn generations. Nigerians stop deceiving urselves.

Whats the meaning of all these insult?

So thats your own version of FREEDOM OF SPEECH?
How will you feel if i call your pa a non-entity...well sha Nobody knows him.
You are abusing the very few beautiful people that had been an influence on other people's life one way or the other.
Its IRONICAL that the more we abuse our LEADERS the more we abusing ourselves because our LEADERS are the products of we pheasants.
Most of the great "ABUSERS" of Nairaland will do worse when they are placed within the same set of circumstance that our leaders find themselves.
In Essence , and as a personal view, its the recalcitrant and UNPATROTRIC Nigerians that need criticism.
Somebody said "ask not what your country can do but what you..."
Well i can see your own contribution here.
This is year 2013, if you cant contribute positively with the only (free)thing you have, then dont add poison

From what I gather, the majority of you guys are against praying for your leaders but prefer to condescend to raining insults at them. Like someone rightly said, this is the character of lowlifes and cowards who cannot do better themselves given the opportunity. These are the dregs of society that can never amount to anything tangible, but always end up destroying themselves. Who said you cannot lead a meaningful action as was done in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, etc not too long ago, if you feel so agrieved at how your leaders are leading you. I believe this will be more beneficial to all concerned instead of all these senseless rants that only show your level of stupidity and the empty nature of your medula oblangata. Better change your ways, perhaps things might change for you, who knows....? Na new year be dis o....!!!

Praying is a waste of time....if the charlatans believe in prayers, they wont be carrying on the way they do.

The only prayers I will support is the one that pay them back 100 folds what they give to the masses.

Any leader that gives misery...poverty...premature death...illness... should not expect anything less.
Any leader that gives hope...peace...fulfillment....should not expect anything less.

Let them receive whatever they give.

All these I cite and conjure
Shemhamforash, Eheye, Ayscher, Weatta, Elohey, Hareny, Yechuateche, Hagedola,
Merof, Zarotey, Agla, Pedeny, Zye, Kotecha, Barach, Amym, Gedolym, Verachena,
