I noticed you drive on the left lane( that should be used during overtaking), even when you are not overtaking . I guess you got carried away.

Apropos the bus driver that prevented you from overtaking, this is a very bad road habit in Nigeria. I will start a new thread to enlighten some of us on how to overtake.

Enjoy your 505, remember to change the timing belt/chain in time. I saw some warning light ON below the temperature gauge on your dash. Wonder what that is

Good advice. I used to own a 505, wonderful car, and it NEVER gave me any trouble except one day when I was firing down from Lagos to the East and the bloody timing belt cut and left me stranded at Asaba. I managed to locate a local mechanic who bought another belt and fixed it for me but that one too cut at Umunede and I had to tow the car to Asaba and spend the night there (and I was making such good time). In the end, when I got my mechanics to look at the car they said that the valves (whatever those are, I'm not really a mechanically minded person) had been fouled up and so forth, and so I had to make some expensive repairs which ended in my selling the car. Such a splendid beast, I've still got fond memories of it...

A lot! The filter is design for race.

The brand of mine is Spectre, not K&N. It automatically changed the engine note. The V6 song is now sweet to listen to.

I dont know anything about Hyundai Sonata. But a 2.4 L engine doesn't sound like a V6 engine. I could be wrong, though.

The V6 engine, ES9J4S, in 407 V6 (petrol), is the same V6 engine in phase II 406 V6. The engine develops the maximum of 210 hp. Its a good engine. Phase II 406 V6 manual transmission is the next car i plan to own.

Please, note that 407 also have a Diesel V6.

The Peugeot 505 V6 is still a rare car, even in France. They don't come up for sale often. It's a true driver's car, if you're not a car enthusiast, you won't truly appreciate one.

However, the Volkswagen Golf 2,8 VR6 will out-run the Peugeot 505 V6. If also has the edge in terms of maximum speed, though this is mostly due to its more aerodynamic advantage over the older Lion.

The 505 is a great car - I've owned one, a LHD car, but it was an STI, so 2,0L 8V, which placed it below the GTI, which was a 2,2L 8V. With a 2,0 engine, it was far from quick, but it was immensely satisfying to drive. Very few people knew what it was!

I still reckon the ultimate 505 will be one with a transplanted LS1 5,7 V8 motor. Now THAT will be something!
