FA Cup 4th Round Draw Made by sammietos(m): 7:16pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have all been handed tricky away ties in the fourth round of the FA Cup ESPN reported. Holders Chelsea will face the short trip west to Brentford for a London derby or to the coast to take on Southend after the sides drew 2-2 on Saturday. Both teams are battling for promotion with Brentford currently fourth in League One while Southend are sixth in the division below. Manchester City will travel to Crystal Palace or Stoke City. Third-placed Championship side Palace and Tony Pulis' Stoke must play again after finishing goalless at Selhurst Park. City have never won at Stoke's Britannia Stadium in the Premier League, drawing four and losing once, and they lost there in the FA Cup in 2010. Tottenham are also on the road and will definitely face Championship opposition. Birmingham City and Leeds United could only draw 1-1 at Elland Road so Spurs must wait to discover how far north they must travel. Providing they can beat West Ham in a replay, Manchester United have a home tie against the winners of the replay between Fulham and Blackpool, while Mansfield Town or Liverpool face Oldham Athletic after the Latics dumped out Nottingham Forest. Brighton & Hove Albion, conquerors of Newcastle United, will entertain the winners of the replay between Swansea City and Arsenal. Macclesfield Town, who sensationally knocked out runaway Championship leaders Cardiff City, will be at home to either Wigan Athletic or AFC Bournemouth. Fellow Conference team Luton Town, who defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers, have been given a trip to a Premier League team in Norwich City. Another notable tie sees struggling Aston Villa head to London to take on Millwall. View the full draw here: http://tosinoluwalowo..com/2013/01/fa-cup-4th-round-draws-made.html |
