What's this I read about sending the card to the head office of the issuing bank?

Does it mean that a transaction gone awry in Minna would have to suffer more by waiting for the card to travel to Lagos before coming back to Minna?

If this is the case,I think I will have to stop using my ATM cards in remote locations.

sorry my card was seized at Adeola Odeku branch once they asked me some security questions I was given but they told me not to put it in the back pocket

Never has d machine seized my card, and i don't pray it happen, cos it won't be funny at all

First bank seems to be the culprit

ATM machines do not only sieze cards, but also sieze your money. Its always a bitter experience when the ATM deducts your account with the amount you asked for, but does not release or pay the cash value. I have noticed that this case is most rampant in GTbank, Uyo, where hundreds of customers complain of this shortchange everyday. Can the management of the bank do something to resolve this?

I just want my fellow nairalander's to learn from what happened to me at first bank Ibafo branch along Lagos - Ibadan express way, I withdrew some money from the ATM I can’t just believe there was a fake note from the money I withdrew from the machine, I went straight to the bank to lodge a complain, I was told they can’t do anything about it, I will like to know if anybody experienced such before because I’m still surprise.

eah...so i slotted my card in & d ATM decided it was time to reboot...azin. Ok o...i waited..after all d Greek bla bla d machine came up but card nko? No show...i realised d card had prolly traveled far so i went to get d guys in charge...none around
On getting back to d machine tho anoda man had been dre.....whola, same xperinz

'Luckily for me' d bank (GTB- would u rather queue with us) just made a new policy --"oh we are so sorry but we don't retrieve cards anymore, you have to request for a new one #1000 & wait 5 working days!!
I was like WAT!! YOUR MACHINE REBOOTED!! "yes we know we re so sorry" i felt like throwing sometin.......but wetin man go do? So i paid for a defect on fir machine naa. Theses banks dey enjoy i swear, no loss watsoeva
