So before you go on performing in the talent hunt competition it will be very useful if you make use of some of these tips to help increase your chances of winning.

Prepare yourself

Once you have confirmed that your registration has been accepted to participate in the competition the next thing is for you to get yourself prepared. Preparation might mean so many things to many people but the fundamental issues are the same. Select your preferred song carefully. Make sure that you’re familiar with the song you’ve chosen so you don’t struggle with it in front of the audience. It is also very beneficial for you to select a popular song that the judges are most likely to also know. Practice the song over and over again and make sure that you master the tunes, lyrics, rhythm and every other thing associated with it.

Care for your voice

Since your voice is the part of your body that will be mostly used in the expression, it is important that you take care of it so it is in optimal shape. Avoid drinking cold things because they cause the blood vessel in your throat to freeze and that makes your voice break. Drink warm or hot water, tea or coffee which is the best thing for your voice. Don’t overstress your voice during your personal rehearsals because it also breaks your voice. Avoid eating too much of oily stuffs that can stick to your voice box and cause your voice to crack.

Audition day

On the audition day wake up early enough and get prepared. Don’t do any rehearsals today, the ones you’ve been doing before are enough. Leave your house three hours (or more depending on how close your house is to the audition venue) before the audition will start so you can get there early. Remember auditions are based on first come first serve basis so the earlier you get there the faster you’ll be attended to.

Be bold and very confident of yourself. Don’t be afraid because that will make you lose you stability. Be polite and expressional and don’t forget to include gesticulations when singing, it makes your presentation more real.
