Surah Kahf is one of the most often read surahs of the Quran based on the traditions of the noble Prophet (Peace be upon him).

The hadith related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id (Allah be pleased with him), “Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays”. [Ibn Hajar, Talkhis al-Habir]

One of the major benefits of this surah is that it protects us from the fitna of the dajjal (the imposter or 'the anti christ'). The greatest trial that will fall upon this Ummah and upon the whole oof humanity. The great war between good and evil. In this surah Allah offers us some protection for this Ummah for that fitna

Abu Darda' ~ may Allah be pleased with him ~ related that the Holy Prophet ~ ~ said, " One who memorized the first ten verses of Suratul Kahf will be secure against the Dajjal (Anti-Christ) . Another version says: "One who commits to his memory the last 10 verses of this surah will remain immune from the Dajjal. [Muslim]

We also find out that the teachings of this Surah have a lot to do with how to deal with that fitna. The Surah responds to some of the great trials that will befall humanity.
