When i read in wwww.alisina.org that muhamad copied bible, i doubted but now i believe. According to ali sina, a former muslim convert. Muhamad during his time use to hear xtians preach around ie evangelism. and muhamed being an illiterate that could not read nor write was storing d early xtians teaching in his brain. Now when u read some of muhamd's so called surah u will understand how he muddled things up. Muhamad claimed it was not possible for allah to beget a son, how come the story about mary's conception is not well explained in this so called surah? wia did isah meet muhamad to tell him who and who will enter blazing fire?

The truth is dat muhamad did not get any revealation, he downloaded the preaching d early xtians of his time passed accross and sieved wot sounded impossible to him just like the jews never believed Jesus is d son of God, so muhamad believed. Please can somebody tell me y muhamed did nt follow the jewish religion? can xtians go astray, jews go astray and muslims dat copied both religion be true path? Rubbish!

The so called chief (not king or eze or traditional ruler) that turned muslim, i wish him goodluck, thankGod his family didnt join him, when he eventually gets d fund from emir of sokoto to build mosque in imo as they do to entice some greedy igbos who eventually dissapear with their money. Ask about chief abdulazeez ude's family after the 419 died they all reverted back to christianity, all the money pumped to their father were enjoyed by them.

We reject islam incussion into igboland! QED!
complete nonsense...wao he downloaded it?wen was that?.....nd which bible did he copied...revised standard v,kjv, good news bible, new world translation or wat?cos i just find out they are all diff....my question is dis-is jesus a prophet in d bible?

those who accuse islam they do so cos they juage it from the deeds and actions of so-called nowaday's muslims. e g, in nigeria, whatever nonsense exhibits by a hausa man most nonmuslims see it as islamic while it is not. take note NLers, majority of today's muslims do not understand the real Islamic teachings talkless of nonmuslims. Islam is very simple, rational dynamic & accomodative religion. Try to understand it fully from the original source - Koran, nt from the actions n interpretations of the MLS

You said the news will not make Christians happy as if the man ever claimed to be a Christian.
Population of MUslims growing in Ebonyi State? Don't be too sure! I know of a community that has a Muslim school and offers free education provided you agree to convert to Islam. The poor villagers agree to these terms and become temporary Muslims until they finish school, drop Islam and wed in church. There are those who're paid every month to propagate Islam but the villagers generally regard them as mad people. This man may be looking for such a cheap source of income
The very reaction I expected. I knew telling lies is part of you people. When I say Islam is growing in the East, it means Islam is growing. Here you are denying it.
You can keep a date with a programme on NTA Channel 8 Owerri, every friday for a programme called ISLAM CALLING IN IGBOLAND.
You also mentioned that Islam offers free education to convert people. What about the one that are on daily performed by the christian missionaries? Full time Bible Carriers and Confusionist!
As a result, you may find and informed and highly place in society christian coming to Islam and vice versa, because muslims don't spend as much as christians do to convert people.
If you still do not believe this, just wait and see before year 2013 ends and of your close relatives will convert for sure!

bright007: [size=30pt]This man has just been brainwashed! He must have giving in on imagining pleasure with 72 virgins![/size]
he is not brain wash, Allah guides who so he will, and i pray that you too will be guided to the straight path and made u a Muslim,is Good for you to make research about Islam.72 virgins in Paradise?

If you ask a random person what they know about Islam, you will get some random responses. People generally know that Muslims worship Allah, but don’t know much else. Plenty of people will venture incorrect guesses, like ‘Islam is an Arab religion” or “Islam is only about Jihad” along with the mistaken idea that the word means Holy war. One of the more popular ideas that is now spreading is that “Terrorists are promised 72 virgin women when they die.”
The “72 virgins” idea is probably the most overblown idea that people seem to remember about Islam. It’s turning into a real stereotype. Forget the doctrines of monotheism and tolerance, it seems all people want to hear about is the virgins. There’s a lot more to Paradise than just sex and physical pleasure, you know.

Before I go describing them in detail, I want to note that I’m taking the issue and the verses out of context. One really should read the whole Surah (chapter) to get a better understanding of the religious signifigance. Nearly a third of the Qur’an talks about the life after this one, so while there are chapters and chapters to describe the hereafter, I’m just discussing a few verses which talk about the servants; a minor perk in the grand scheme of Paradise. Personally I think the greatest reward is to be in the presence of God Almighty. Plenty of non-Muslims take one of these single verses and generalize that all of heaven is lascivious, but that simply isn’t the case. I’m just focusing on the virgins, since that’s what you came here to read.

To start off, you need to understand what the rewards in Jannah (Paradise) are. The Quran says that those who do get into Paradise will be rewarded with blessings that eclipse anything on earth; unlimited food of your choice, riches, and wishes come true. Things considered sinful on Earth such as wine will be allowed, and people will be able to eat and drink all they want and not get full or hungover or sick. People will be reunited with their friends and relatives, we will all be made young again, and there will be no anger or pain. Everyone will be given palaces to live in, and clothing fit for royalty, with luxurious couches and thrones for everyone. There will be rivers of the purest water, milk, wine, and honey, all of which are better than any you will find on earth. Those who get to the highest part of Paradise, Jannah al-Firdaus, will also be able to see Allah with their own eyes. So, in a sense, Heaven is a paradise filled with pleasures. You need to imagine the context of when this idea of Paradise was revealed to the people; of the extremely stark and difficult life of ancient Bedouin Arabia. Something as simple as the constant flow of water in a stream was considered miraculous, so it would be natural to imagine heaven depicted this way, flowing with streams of water under the shade of huge trees. (Well what did you expect Paradise to be? Clouds, wings, and harps?)

Also, the believers who make it into Paradise, male and female, are promised beautiful companions, known as “Houris” in Arabic. The Quran describes them in some detail as such:

“Serving [the believers] will be immortal youths with jeweled and crystal cups filled with the purest wine which will neither give them headache nor hangover, with fruits and meats of their desire. They will be fair ones with lovely intense eyes like guarded pearls; A reward for the good deeds of their past life.” (56:17-24)
“We have created mates for them and made them virgins, matched in age, for the companions of the right hand.” (56:35-38)

“They will be chaste, restraining their eyes in modesty, never touched by man or Jinn.”(55:56)

“Serving them will be immortal servants. When you see them, they will look like scattered pearls.” (76:19)

The Islamic scholar Yusuf Ali defines the word “Houris” in his english interpretation of Qur’an as “Youths of perpetual freshness.” He also described them in his commentary: “The companionship of Beauty and Grace is one of the highest pleasures of life. In this bodily life it takes bodily form. In the higher life it takes a higher form…The pronoun in Arabic is in the feminine gender. It is made clear that these maidens for heavenly society will be of special creation,-of virginal purity, grace, and beauty, inspiring and inspired by love, with the question of time and age eliminated.”
The Houris are basically creations of God, intelligent yet soulless and created to serve the believer who goes to Paradise. They are created for the purpose of serving the believer, and as such, they dont exactly have free will. They are described as pure, beautiful, lustrous, virgin, and more perfect than any human on earth. Imagine the woman of your dreams.

Women aren’t left out: A man in paradise will get numerous female servants for himself, while a woman would get male servants. The Quran says that women shall be compensated just as well and says about the believers that “they” (the gender unspecified) shall have perfected mates/spouses as a reward of their deeds (2:25, 3:15, 4:57). So women will get the man of their dreams. Actually, even better than you could dream of.

In Paradise, you can marry them. You can interpret the “mates” as being spouses. Even if you were married on earth, they will be invisible to your spouse. Islam is pretty clear in saying that guiltless sex is a reward in Paradise. Since they are more like spouses, they will probably be given the status of one instead of a servant.

There is no direct evidence in the Qur’an to support there being 70 or 72 for each person. The numerical value of 70 is derived from a Quranic commentary by Quranic scholar Ibn Kathir. The number 72 comes from a hadith that says “‘The smallest reward [each] for the people of Heaven is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine and ruby, as wide as the distance from [Damascus] to [Yemen].’”

Do Muslims believe it literally? Are they required to? This particular Hadith has technical weaknesses in its chain of transmitters and is therefore not considered 100% authenticly faultless, though it is listed in an authoritative collection. As a result, Muslims are not required to believe in it, though many inevitably do (but an even more respectable Hadith with virtually the same message can be found in a separate hadith collection). Most muslims believe that they will experience incredible physical pleasures when they enter heaven, and that you will be happier in heaven than you could possibly be in this life. Some say that the houris are a metaphor for the ineffable joys of the afterlife. “Ineffable” is the perfect word to describe it, since Allah promises rewards beyond imagination, meaning you can’t even guess what reward lies ahead since there is no equal on Earth. Ergo, if you can imagine the greatest, richest, best thing in this life, then what will actually be there will be even better.

So, to answer the question “Do terrorists get 72 virgins in Paradise?” Anyone who gets into Heaven will get the servants, it’s not specific to martyrs or the shaheeds. The more important question is, who is privileged to enter heaven according to Islam? That’s a topic for another node.(Hint: Islam is unambiguous on the issue of suicide and hurting innocent people; they’re Completely sinful) In case it’s not clear to anyone, Terrorists who hurt innocent people are sinning, so it’s up to Allah if they’ll go to Paradise or not. You see, bad deeds aren’t rewarded, only punished.

The revelation of the Qur'an began in the laila al-qadr of Ramadan (one of the odd nights after the 21st till end Ramadan) after the Prophet Muhammad had passed the fortieth year of his life (that is around the year 610), during his seclusion in the cave of Hira' on a mountain near Makka.
Bukharis Account [English translations of ahadith are, unless otherwise indicated, from Khan, Muhammad Muhsin: The Translation of the Meanings of Sahih al-Bukhari, 9 vols., Istanbul, 1978 (abbr. as Bukhari) and Siddiqui, Abdul Hamid: Sahih Muslim, 4 vols., Lahore, 1978 (abbr. as Muslim).]

This is the account, as reported in the Sahih of Bukhari:

Narrated Aisha the mother of the faithful believers: The commencement of the divine inspiration to Allah's apostle was in the form of good dreams which came like bright daylight (i.e. true) and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him.

He used to go in seclusion in the Cave of Hira', where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again, till suddenly the truth descended upon him while he was in the Cave of Hira'.

The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied 'I do not know how to read'. The Prophet added, 'The angel caught me (forcibly) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, "I do not know how to read". Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read" (or what shall I read?). Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said: "Read, in the name of Your Lord, who created, created man from a clot. Read! And Your Lord is the most bountiful" ... [Bukhari, I, No. 3; VI, No. 478; Muslim I, No. 301.]

The narration goes on to tell us that the Prophet went back to his wife Khadija and recounted to her his dreadful experience. She comforted him and both of them consulted Waraqa, Khadlja's relative and a learned Christian, about it. Waraqa told Muhammad that he had encountered the one 'whom Allah had sent to Moses' and that he would be driven out by his people
How Revelation came

Narrated Aisha, the mother of the faithful believers: Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's apostle: 'O Allah's apostle. How is the divine inspiration revealed to you?' Allah's apostle replied, 'Sometimes it is "revealed" like the ringing of a bell, this form of inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says'. [Bukhari, I, No. 2.]
The First Revelation' [See Suyuti, Itqan, I, pp.23-4.]

The first revelation that the Prophet Muhammad received is in the first verses from Sura al-'alaq (96:1-3, according to others 1-5):

'Read in the name of your Lord, who created, created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is most bountiful. (He who taught) the use of the pen taught man which he knew not.'

The remainder of Sura 96, which now has 19 ayat, was revealed on some later occasion.
The Pause (fatra)

After the first message thus received, revelation ceased for a certain period (called fatra) and then resumed:

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah Al-Ansari while talking about the period of pause in revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet, 'While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the heaven. I looked up and saw the same angel who had visited me at the Cave of Hira' sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of him and came back home and said "Wrap me (in blankets)" and then Allah revealed the following holy verses (of the Qur'an): O you covered in your cloak, arise and warn (the people against Allah's punishment) ... up to "and all pollution shun".'

After this revelation came strongly and regularly. [Bukhari, I, end of No. 3.]
The Second Revelation

The second portion of the Qur'an revealed to the Prophet Muhammad was the beginning of Sura al-muddaththir (74: 15). It now consists of 56 verses, the rest revealed later, and begins as follows: 'O you, covered in your cloak, arise and warn, thy Lord magnify, thy raiment purify, pollution shun ...'
Other Early Revelations

Many hold that Sura al-muzzammil (73) was the next revelation.

According to others, Sura al-fatiha (1) was the third sura to be revealed. [Suyuti, Itqan, I, p.24.]

Among other early revelations, which the Prophet declared in Makka, are, according to some reports, Sura 111, Sura 81, Sura 87, Sura 92, Sura 89, etc. Then revelation continued, 'mentioning Paradise and Hell, and until mankind turned to Islam, then came revelation about halal and haram ... ' [Suyuti, Itqan, I, p.24.]

Revelation came to the Prophet throughout his lifetime, both in Makka and Madina, i.e. over a period of approximately 23 years, until shortly before his death in the year 10 after Hijra (632)
The Last Revelation

Many Muslim scholars agree that the last revelation was Sura 2, verse 281:

'And fear the day when ye shall be brought back to God. Then shall every soul be paid what it earned and none shall be dealt with unjustly.'

Some also say that it was 2:282 or 2:278. [Kamal, Ahmad 'Adil: 'ulum al-Qur'an, Cairo, 1974, p.18.]

It has also been suggested that all three verses were revealed on one occasion. The Prophet died nine nights after the last revelation.

Others hold that Sura 5:4 was the last to be revealed:

'This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.'

The opinion that this verse was the last revelation is not sound according to many scholars, since it was revealed during the last pilgrimage of the Prophet. This information is based upon a hadith from 'Umar. Suyuti explains concerning the verse in Sura 5 that after it nothing concerning ahkam and hal'al and haram was revealed, and in this sense it is the 'completion' of religion. However, revelation reminding man of the coming day of judgement continued and the last such revelation is the above verse. [Sabuni, tibyan pp. 18-9]
Reasons why the Qur'an was sent down in Stages

The Qur'an was revealed in stages over a period of 23 years, and not as a complete book in one single act of revelation. There are a number of reasons for this; most important are the following:

To strengthen the heart of the Prophet (saws) by addressing him continuously and whenever the need for guidance arose.
Out of consideration for the Prophet since revelation was a very difficult experience for him.
To gradually implement the laws of God.
To make understanding, application and memorisation of the revelation easier for the believers.

Shut up your ignorant evil mouth. South West is majority muslim and there have not been anything like bombing here - the people behing bombing in the north are politicians with even some powerful southerners supporting the cause purposely to divide the north.

In west here, you can also see the speed of progress in terms of physical development, moral values, etc all of which are absent in south east. The earlier you accept islam the better for your children - for me, it is your children that I pity.

omo alaro:

Is Moses a Christian or Igbo name?
MUSA means Moses in Islam, is one one of the prophets sent by God. in Arabic his name means water tree
Musa (pbuh) was raised like a prince. He had the best education. The Pharaoh probably intended him to become his advisor, or his successor. Musa (pbuh) lived in lavish surroundings, but was not arrogant or vain. He treated everyone fairly. He also hid his distain for the cruel treatment of Banu Israel.

One day Musa (pbuh) happened by two men who were fighting. One was an Israeli and the other was an Egyptian. He came forward trying to end the brawl. Musa (pbuh) saw that the Egyptian was not going to let up, he lifted his stick and hit him. The man staggered and fell to the ground. Musa (pbuh) and his companions stepped forward to support the man but he was limp like a rag. With that one hit, he had killed the man. Musa (pbuh) was horrified.

Once in his home he began to think about the events. He was sure that this must be the work of a devil. one hit should have never taken down that man. He prayed for Divine protection and forgiveness of Allah. Allah forgave him.

This news of the death had quickly reached the elite circle of leaders. They instantly agreed that Musa (pbuh) was a trader and was conspiring with the Israelites. They decided upon a public trial, having him killed for murdering an Egyptian. Musa (pbuh) was informed of the plot and escaped into the Sinai Desert. Musa (pbuh) prayed to Allah to save him from his pursuers.

Musa (pbuh) was resting by a well watching the Shepard's water their herds. He noticed two young and beautiful woman waiting patiently by the water. They had been waiting a long time for the men to finish. Frustrated at the way they we're being treated Musa (pbuh) approached them and offered his service. He led the animals to water. The women were grateful for his help and explained to him that their father was old and unable to do the work.

When the girls returned home and told their father of Musa (pbuh) and how he had helped them, their father was impressed by his manners. He sent one of his daughters to bring the man to his home. The old man asked Musa (pbuh) about his travels. Then after hearing the fascinating story of Musa (pbuh) and noticing his gentle behavior, He asked him to stay with them. He provided Musa (pbuh) with a home and work and then offered him marriage to one of his daughters.

He lived with the family for about ten years, leading a simple and happy life. He cared for the sheep and goats. Musa (pbuh) enjoyed the simple solitude of the desert as they grazed. He also spent many enriching hours in deep conversation with his father-in-law. As the years passed, Musa (pbuh) never forgot, how his people were suffering back home, and longed to free them.

By the end of those ten years Musa (pbuh) had become very home sick. He approached his wife and told her his plans. They would leave in the morning for Egypt. After briefly reassuring her fears, they left the next morning traveling through the desert until he reached Mount Sinai. At nightfall they reached Mount Tur. Musa (pbuh) noticed a fire in the distance. He told his family to stay in their tents and that he would get fire to warm them.

He traveled threw the dark finding a small bush on fire. Musa (pbuh) approached cautiously. A voice suddenly called out to him. Here is the conversation narrated in the Quran

[020.011] And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! [020.012] Lo! I, am your Lord, So take off your shoes, you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. [020.013] And I have chosen you, so hearken unto that which is inspired. [020.014] Lo! I, am Allah, There is no God save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. [020.015] Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it strived to achieve. [020.016] There for, let not him turn away from the thought of it who believeth not therein but follows his own desire, lest thou perish. [020.017] And what is that in your right hand, O Moses ? [020.018] He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. [020.019] He said: Cast it down, O Moses! [020.020] So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. [020.021] He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. [020.022] And thrust your hand into your armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. That will be another token. [020.023] That We may show you of Our greater portents, [020.024] Go to Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed the bounds. [020.025] Moses said: My Lord! relieve my mind [020.026] And ease my task for me; [020.027] And loose a knot from my tongue, [020.028] That they may understand my saying. [020.029] Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, [020.030] Aaron, my brother.[020.031] Confirm my strength with him [020.032] And let him share my task, [020.033] That we may glorify Thee much [020.034] And much remember Thee. [020.035] Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. [020.036] He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. [020.037] And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favors, [020.038] When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, [020.039] Saying: Throw him into the basket, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that you be trained according to My will, [020.040] When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him ? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then you came by My will by My providence, O Moses, [020.041] And I have spoke to you Myself. [020.042] Go, with your brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. [020.043] Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed the bounds. [020.044] And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear.

Musa (pbuh) hurried down from the mountain and told his wife what had happened. She acknowledged that Musa (pbuh) was indeed the Prophet of Allah. He told her to go back to her fathers land, he had to get his brother. Musa (pbuh) hurried on to Egypt, and to the house of his father, and spoke to his brother alone and told him of the words of Allah. Harun (pbuh) was pleased and exhilarated to be a part of it.

Musa (pbuh) and Harun (pbuh) went to Pharaoh. Musa (pbuh) told him of Allah, the One God, His teachings and His way of life. The Pharaoh's face shown his contempt for Musa (pbuh). He asked Musa (pbuh) what he wanted. Musa (pbuh) told him that he wanted the children of Israel to leave with them. The pharaoh thought that Musa (pbuh) had gone mad. He asked him what he wanted with them, that they are slaves to the Egyptians. Musa (pbuh) replied that they are only slaves to Allah.

Growing increasingly angry, the Pharaoh asked Musa (pbuh) if his name is Musa? Musa (pbuh) said yes. The Pharaoh asked him if he was the Musa whom his people picked up from the Nile as a helpless baby? If he was the Musa that was raised in the palace, that he stood in now. Who he had showered wealth and charity on. The same Musa (pbuh) who is a fugitive for killing and Egyptian man. His voice grew more irritated and he asked him sarcastically what was it that they we're talking about.

Musa (pbuh) ignored his sarcasm and explained what had happened with the man, and that he fled from Egypt out of fear of revenge. It had been an accident, and Allah had forgiven him and made him one of the messengers.

Only Allah had the right to judge him and the Pharaoh himself was committing the worst crime. Musa (pbuh) showed the Pharaoh that by the will of Allah he could produce a blinding brilliance from his hand. The Pharaoh said it was simple magic and called for his magicians. The magicians chanted and threw sticks and ropes to the ground making the people present believe they were snakes. Musa (pbuh) threw his staff to the floor. It became a serpent, swallowing the smaller snakes. The Pharaohs magicians became alarmed, testifying that this was no magic that it was the power of Musa's (pbuh) God. The Pharaoh was outraged. He told the magicians they must be in league with Musa (pbuh) and they would be punished severally for their crime.

The pharaoh decided to punish Musa (pbuh) and sent out another decree. He ordered that the male children be killed, just as he had done before. Musa (pbuh) told his people to pray for Allah to save them. The people started to complain saying that Musa (pbuh) had only brought them trouble. Musa (pbuh) told his people that Allah will test them.

Some time passed and Allah sent down his punishment over the Pharaoh and his people. The people suffered many torments including filling all drinking water with a reddish substance that made it look like blood. Unseasonable floods ripped threw Egypt and destroyed homes. Great swarms of locust infected the crops. With each new plague the Pharaoh begged Musa (pbuh) to end it and that he would listen to Musa (pbuh). As soon as the plague would end he would deny Musa (pbuh).

In the mean time Asiyah, Musa's (pbuh) foster mother and the pharaoh's wife, had been witnessing the meetings between Musa (pbuh) and her husband. She was convinced that Musa (pbuh) was a Prophet of Allah and that what he was saying was true. So in front of her husband she declared her beliefs. The Pharaoh was so outraged that he had her tortured. It is said that Allah sent angels to protect Asiyah from the pain. When she died she became a shaheed, or a Martyr for the sake of Allah.

The Pharaoh was at a breaking point. He was going to have Harun (pbuh) and Musa (pbuh) killed. Allah sent the warning to Musa (pbuh). Musa (pbuh) instructed his people to gather all of their belonging and leave their homes before sun rise. He told them to gather outside the city. When they had all gathered they headed for the red sea.

When the sun rose the next morning, the Pharaoh received reports that no work was being done in the city, because the Israelis were gone. He went mad with his rage and mounted his chariot, accompanied by his fastest men, they went after Musa (pbuh). At the red sea he caught up with them.

Many of the followers of Musa (pbuh) lost faith and began to blame him for their situation. Musa (pbuh) ignored them and prayed to Allah for help, having faith in Allah supreme. He struck the water with his staff, right down the center, all the way to the other side a huge gorge opened up with towering walls made from water. Musa (pbuh) and the Israelis fled into the river heading for the other side. Outraged the Pharaoh and his people fled down the path to the sea and also into the watery valley. As soon as the last Israeli was out of the harms way the water let loose crashing upon the Pharaoh and his army. They were all drowned.

Musa (pbuh) led them into the desert of Sinai. A short way into the trip the people began to blame Musa (pbuh) for their shortage of water, food and shelter. They implored him to make idols to worship. Musa (pbuh) was furious and warned them that the act was absurd. He prayed to Allah to help them find water.

Musa (pbuh) left Harun (pbuh) in charge of the people while he went to the mountain. He bid them to obey Harun (pbuh), just as they had obeyed him. Musa (pbuh) then left for the heights of Mount Sinai. He returned to the location in which he had received his miracles from Allah. Taking off his shoes he knelt down on the ground. He prayed to Allah for guidance. Allah bestowed upon Musa (pbuh) the laws for his people to follow. Musa (pbuh) begged Allah to reveal himself to Musa (pbuh). Allah agreed to shed a ounce of His Divinity upon him. As soon as he spoke this, a pure white blinding light struck the mountain across from him and pulverized it. Musa (pbuh) fainted and when he recovered he begged Allah to forgive him.

In Musa's (pbuh) absence Harun (pbuh) was unable to persuade them from sinning. A man named Samiri had led them astray. He had suggested that they make a idol of their own. They melted down their jewelry and plates in a fire and molded a golden calf. They began to perform their ritual dancing and acts of immorality that they had grown accustomed to.

When Musa (pbuh) entered the camp and saw what they had done he was furious. He turned his furry on Harun (pbuh) and asked him what had happened. Harun (pbuh) tried to tell him, that they would not listen. Musa (pbuh) addressed his people asking why they had done this. They replied that Samiri, was the one who told them to do it. When Musa (pbuh) asked him why, he simply replied that he felt like it. Musa (pbuh) ordered him from the camp. Musa (pbuh) melted the calf into small pieces and commanded that his people throw them into the sea. [020.097] (Moses) said: Then go! and lo! in this life it is for thee to say: Touch me not! and lo! there is for thee a tryst thou canst not break. Now look upon thy god of which thou hast remained a votary. Verily we will burn it and will scatter its dust over the sea.

Once the camp was back in order, Musa (pbuh) and a group of seventy men headed for Mount Tur to ask Allah his forgiveness. The mountain quaked and Musa (pbuh) begged for forgiveness. After some time Allah forgave them explaining that, His forgiveness was greater then His anger.

Musa (pbuh) led his people in the direction of Palestine. Soon after his people began to complain about traveling. Musa (pbuh) divided the people into twelve tribes, so they would be more organized. The leaders of the twelve tribes addressed Musa (pbuh) about their lack of water. Allah commanded Musa (pbuh) to strike a rock with his staff. When he did, twelve springs rushed from the rock. [007.160] We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and We inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: Smite with thy staff the rock! And there gushed forth there from twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. And we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails (saying): Eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. They wronged Us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.

Allah commanded that they sacrifice a cow, they gave Musa (pbuh) a horrible time showing that they still were non believers.

Musa (pbuh) led his people to Palestine. He commanded the people to attack a city of idol worshipers, whom Allah wanted to punish. The people of the land were healthy and strong, this deterred the Israelis they refused to go against the inhabitants. Nothing that Musa (pbuh) said would change their minds. Musa (pbuh) was at a loss, he prayed to Allah again for help.

He returned to the people of Israel and told them they we're to return to the desert. Musa (pbuh) sad hearted led his people south, this would be where his brother passed away. Musa (pbuh) continued to lead his people enduring himself their condemned suffrage. They were not allowed to reenter the holy city for another forty years.

Musa (pbuh) continued his teachings and traveling. He used the time to teach the oneness of Allah and to write the Taurah, (laws for them to follow). Musa (pbuh) tried to teach his people obedience to Allah and to treat any Prophet that would come after him with respect.

At the end of the forty years, Musa (pbuh) once again led his people north, they we're camping along the banks of the river Jordan. He pointed to the land and told them that this was the land their people had rejected years before. After Musa (pbuh) death and around the year 1200BCE they returned to Palestine. Peace be upon Musa.

JESUS IS THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE.

How? has he not been a xtian before? He has seen even more than you in xtianity and decided to ambrace the right path after spending years in the wilderness of xtianity. We can't say this man converted because he was poor. Most of the people that got convert to xtianity in Africa have done so either to enjoy free education or for job opportunity - in other words, people go into xtianity for economic reason, not really for God.

There is no hope for this country_
Religion is and remains a facking problem in this country even among ourselves the youths. So how do we work together to make this nation great.
Our coments on threads concerning religion has shown that we can never coexist, no need to tell ourselves lies. THE COUNTRY SHOULD BE DIVIDED... Gbam#

About Ablution and Salat:

Chapter 5:6 of the Holy Quran says:

O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful.

(Chapter 3:43)
O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer].

(Chapter 3:30-31)
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive

About Zakat:
(Chapter 9:60)
Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah . And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Shahada:
(Chapter 3:18)
Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

(chapter 63:1)
When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah ." And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.

About Hajj:

(Chapter 2)

Verse 158: Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah . So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.

Verse 196: And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah . But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs 'umrah [during the Hajj months] followed by Hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal] - then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days]. This is for those whose family is not in the area of al-Masjid al-Haram. And fear Allah and know that Allah is severe in penalty.

Verse 197: Hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj. And whatever good you do - Allah knows it. And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah . And fear Me, O you of understanding.

verse 198: There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord [during Hajj]. But when you depart from 'Arafat, remember Allah at al- Mash'ar al-Haram. And remember Him, as He has guided you, for indeed, you were before that among those astray.

verse 199: Then depart from the place from where [all] the people depart and ask forgiveness of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

About Sawm (Fasting):
(Chapter 2)

verse 183: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous

verse 184: [Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew.

verse 185: The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.

verse 187: It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah , so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.

...If you have anymore objective questions, I would be glad to help!

Its obvious you can't read! this is what I wrote:

Are you denying the hadith? Ok where in the Quran were you taught ablution, Salah, Zakat,Hajj, Shahadah, sawm (Fast). Show me from the Holy Quran where these were described! tongue

I didn't say STATED! but described! The Hadith fills the missing gaps in the Quran. Eg

Shahadah

The Quran never mentions what you guys are mentioning today as the Shahadah. You got the words from the Hadith

Salah

the Qur’an says that there should be three prayers, and the Hadith demands five. The explanation of the salah is found in the Sunnah, and even then it was never described by Muhammad. Muslims are performing a ritual without Quran say so

Zakat
The calculations for the Zakat are not in the Quran but in the Hadith

Hajj

where in the Quran was it stated that you ought to go round the Kaaba, run helter skelter "like hagar" and stone the devil? The process of the Hajj is in the Hadith

Fast

Does the Quran reveal the accounts and meaning of the fast?

Look here, better read next time so you don't embarrass yourself.

The above goes to show that the Hadith are very important in Islam. And since the Hadith prescribe the death penalty for for conversion FROM islam, the Igbo chief has just stepped into "Hotel California". I wish him luck whenever he attempts PRISON BREAK Part 10 shocked grin grin grin

No. I think what he meant here is, Islam is the only religion that connects us with all our 'fore fathers' and Messengers of God right from Prophet Adam down to Prophets Moses, Jesus & Muhammad (peace be upon them all) without any discrimination.

Have you ever thought of how big and voluminous the Noble Quran would be if Allah had spelt out every sentence in words? Allah has commanded us (everybody) to follow Allah and His Prophet. The Quran is a compressed Book of rules, laws and regulations guiding the universe. You can not understand the Quran without recurse to relevant Hadith.

That is Islam for you.
