[quote author=2buff]It's easy for people to seat in their arm chairs and judge based on patchy information from a packaged story as evident of the title. Truth is we were not there. Obviously the man went there with the mind of peace to just settle it. From an intent to settle...to beating the other person bloody...that's a huge emotional shift....and emotional shifts of that magnitude DO NOT happen just like that. Obviously the sister said or did something further that was conveniently ommited during the reporting of this story (As is the case with most women palava stories) to create a pre-established bias. Add that to the sheer disrespect of coming home to find your home invaded by someone who is adamantly trying to hurt your wife, after possibly a long tiring day at work...yeah, anything can happen. Full story, with full accurate events or GTFO.[/quoto whoever writes this has plenty common sense |

thats the problem with Nigerian family and this is common of yoruba and igbos, (not sure about huasa people)... they always stick there nose in your business, if your wife don't have a child on time, wahala, if you give your wife a gift your sister will call you mumu and ask for their own( go get your own from your husband is the best reply) if you love your wife too much they will say she jazzed you.. I believe once your sibling are married, they are no longer your family, they are now your relatives because they will put their husband and kids before you... |

ChyV:the man is an unwise man. sure he does not know dat wen two quarrelling women presents their case, both will never be wrong. see, history could waive the quarrel of two troublesome women as normal. but at the point wia the man lay hand on his sister, History would nt forgive. |

I really appreciate all your comments for / against what he did to his sister. I can not provide too much information, I'm not even sure if any of them are reading this, but for clarification purpose, I'm aware of the following 1. There are unresolved issues between the wife and the husband's family 2. The husband is not 100% satisfied with his wife's attitude to his family, just trying to live with it, managing it 3. The husband's family loved her so much initially, they changed due to some of her attitudes to them and even to the husband 5. The sister is far older than the brother 6. When the guy was seriously sick, they claimed the wife did not take good care of him, rather it was the mother & sister that helped him out 7. On that very day, the wife said very nasty thing, a kind of allegation that could cause the sister her own marriage 8. Since the wife knew the gravity / how terrible what she said, she refused to open the door for the sister she instead called the husband that his sister is about to kill her 9. Not that she carried gun / cutlass or tugs to beat her up / they did not have any physical contact to warrant her beating / killing the wife 10. The husband could have left her outside and go somewhere else to relax / call police / call the husband etc Applying force for her to leave without addressing why she came led to the struggle, the brother later used "koboko" to whip her, reason why blood came out 11. The wife felt very happy that her husband dealt with his sister I hate how the sister did not respect herself and leave the house but I also hate how the man beat her up mercilessly The wife and the husband are now living in fear of unknown PLEASE CAN YOU GUYS SUGGEST THE SOLUTION, HOW CAN THIS NOW BE RESOLVED. THANKS |

Firstly, I there can be no excuse for him to have beat up his sister, whether Elder or Younger. Then the Sister too has no reason whatsoever to have gone to his house to confront his wife. All she should have done was to talk about it with her brother. The brothers wife respected her when she denied her entrance and called her husband. that's the right thing to do. But beating the Sister is a NO NO |

wlex8: I really appreciate all your comments for / against what he did to his sister. he used koboko? i actually thought it was blows, headbutts and kicks. koboko is not beating - it's discipline! the family should leave husband and wife alone. his allegiance lies with his wife, not his family! hopefully, they would have gotten the message after the incident! |

wlex8: I really appreciate all your comments for / against what he did to his sister. OK, now with these further details to the storyto fill up the patches, I can see now that the guy lacks wisdom. If the sister truly didn't come to fight, then I would have commanded my wife to come out and cause this thing to be resolved. It is one thing to be downright tormented by in laws. It is another to enjoy wading war on your husbands family just because. He has lost control of his household. There is no telling who else she will slander and bait to her house next time for her husband to try and beat. If he doesn't deal with his wife, she will one day bring Dwayne Johnson for him to fight |
Re: He Beat-up His Elder Sister For His Wife by debosky(m): 5:48pm On Jan 16, 2013 |
Which kain fear of the unknown? There is a simple lesson here - if the wife's sister respected herself and went to confront her brother about what his wife said, there would be no beating. When a man asks you to leave his home, you leave - no struggling! Regardless of the wife's issues or differences with her in laws, the fact remains that she didn't resort to violence. It was the sister in law that refused to leave and got herself beaten up. Ultimately it's her fault. While the husband overreacted, the fault remains with the sister in law. They need a big family meeting (after the sister has recovered) to clear the air, after which each person should maintain their boundaries. |

Some sister inlaws are very troublesome. Anyway she went there for a fight and i think she enjoyed it. Let her learn to mind her business and know her fights especially when it concerns wives. She should know that her r/ship with her brother is brother & sister r/ship not brother n wife. Others should learn from that. |

2buff: It's easy for people to seat in their arm chairs and judge based on patchy information from a packaged story as evident of the title. Truth is we were not there. I agree with this post. Issues like this can not be judged on a forum such as nairaland. I feel there's a lot of information we still dont have. Things like this don't just happen, there must be a history of events that have to be taken into consideration before coming to a conclusion. All I know is that, siblings, parents, in-laws, wives, husbands etc are meant to respect each other and know that each one should have boundaries that should not be crossed.... There obviously is a lack of respect here (or maybe there was previously and now it has been lost). |

wlex8: I really appreciate all your comments for / against what he did to his sister. Obviously! wlex8: 2. The husband is not 100% satisfied with his wife's attitude to his family, just trying to live with it, managing it This I seriously doubt!! A man who is not happy with his wife will not beat his sister up like you described for her.. Instead, he will egg his sister on to beat his wife.. wlex8: 3. The husband's family loved her so much initially, they changed due to some of her attitudes to them and even to the husband. How exactly did she change towards them?! It seems that his family is way too involved in her marriage. WHY?! wlex8: 5. The sister is far older than the brother. DUH!!! Your initial post read ELDER SISTER.. That said, I expected her to act her age instead of flying off from her house to her brothers house to confront his wife over a hearsay matter. wlex8: 6. When the guy was seriously sick, they claimed the wife did not take good care of him, rather it was the mother & sister caring that helped. Why was the wife unable to take care of her ailing husband?! what type of ailment did he suffer. Where was the wife while he was sick?! And even if that was the case, its still no moral grounds for his family to still be butting ino his own marital affairs.. IS HE A CHILD?! wlex8: 7. On that very day, the wife said very nasty thing, a kind of allegation that could cause the sister her own marriage And her only solution was a face to face confrontation in her own house. Why didnt she inform her brother first?! wlex8: 8. Since the wife knew the gravity / how terrible what she said, she refused to open the door for the sister she instead called the husband that his sister is about to kill her. [b]Well, again, this is hearsay information. However, irrespective of what she might have said, a sane, mature and older person would have first called her brother up. Its his wife. She has no right to confront her directly. Especially not in her own house. Its called trespass wlex8: 9. Not that she carried gun / cutlass or tugs to beat her up / they did not have any physical contact to warrant her beating / killing the wife. Sadly, from inside the house where the mans wife was prolly hiding, its very impossible for her to tell what weapons she might or might not be carrying. wlex8: 10. The husband could have left her outside and go somewhere else to relax / call police / call the husband etc Same way the elder sister could have also stayed in her own house, reported to her younger brother or better yet file a case of slander or defamation of character in court. wlex8: Applying force for her to leave without addressing why she came led to the struggle, the brother later used "koboko" to whip her, reason why blood came out. NA here your story start to waka kurukere.. A man whose wife supposedly abandoned him during his ailing days, who hates his wifes attitude to his family, who was nursed back to health by this same sister and his mother, this same man jumped out of the house on just the words of a wife that he is supposed to hate and then viciously attacks his loving sister and even uses a Koboko on her?!!!! Either you are lying, telling us a 'stories that touch' from Hints Magazine or ............... DANM!!! wlex8: 11. The wife felt very happy that her husband dealt with his sister. I'm sure she would be very happy!! I dont expect her to feel any other way! wlex8: I hate how the sister did not respect herself and leave the house but I also hate how the man beat her up mercilessly What you hate or like is of absolutely zero importance here.. all we want to know is the true series of events that led up to this beating!! Your story does not add up! wlex8: The wife and the husband are now living in fear of unknown Fear of what unknown?!That the psycho elder sister would kill thm or what?! WTF is going on here FFS?! wlex8: PLEASE CAN YOU GUYS SUGGEST THE SOLUTION, HOW CAN THIS NOW BE RESOLVED. THANKS First go get your story checked... It makes no sense... Its either juju is involved or .......DAMN!!! I dont know what to say again.. Are you related to the couple or just an aproko neighbour... 2 Likes |
