In most of our imaginings of the future, the cars have left the ground, Gasoline Petrol is no longer the hype, cars drive themselves (References: Star Wars, Demolition man, Batman of the Future etc.). While that future may seem light-years away, be afraid, it’s closer than you think. Enter stage right: The Tesla Model S.


We could go on and on. But the car speaks for itself. 1. No Slow – The performance model can do 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. and the top speed caps at 210km/h. With that level of acceleration and top speed, it puts the Porsche 911 in the trash can. For an electric car, that’s phenomenal; for any car that’s uber-phenomenal. Oh and guess what? It has… 2. No Engine – Picture this: It has no engine. Repeat, there is absolutely no engine. What does it need an engine for really? The car’s power is sourced from a battery panel that lines the bottom of the car.



And because of this, there’s no need for maintenance as such (GOODBYE DODGY MECHANICS). Goodbye to oil or transmission fluid to change, or any spark plugs, pistons, hoses, fan-belts or clutches to replace. And if things go bad with the car, a Tesla Ranger is sent to your home or office. 3. No cramping – There’s more to love, when there is more, to love. Of course with the loss of the engine means there’s more cabin space. The Model S can seat up to 7 passengers and has much more space than you can possibly need. What with it’s front and rear trunks. The front trunk exists because of the absence of an engine.
