babapupa:I never play victim trust me. I was just giving you a friendly warning ,pick on someone else . I chose to warn you immediately at the first volley, your tone was rude and not "A NORMAL ....discussion" so I suggest you find someone else to play with so I don't bring your father and mother into it.I have zero tolerance for rudeness, that is all. When you talk to your mother tell her she fails to comprehend simple words do not address me so.I expect after this another day you will remember my name. A little reading would have sufficed instead of having people point out things to me? How is that your father's problem or business does he own the site or is he internet police?? I fail to see what connects me with you to warrant your first rant at me.You are lucky I even warned you today.Normally I give a lot worse to animals like you. |

aribisala0: You are the one that needs to keep up I think the posting back and forth got you all confused! See the post at 4:43PM (post #59). My job is done here; I'm out, peace! |

Wallie:Not confused at all.If you listen more and lecture less there will be no confusion . Your job was to start, out of nowhere, by telling me it was obvious I have never done international business involving ...... etc. By the way who is Mr B surely anyone as knowledgeable as you are must know him |

I chose to warn you immediately at the first volley, your tone was rude and not "A NORMAL ....discussion" so I suggest you find someone else to play with so I don't bring your father and mother into it.I have zero tolerance for rudeness, that is all. You can type all the rubbish you want, but I repeat , you are confused and you are still arguing with yourself and you are still not making any sense. Saying you are arguing with yourself and confused was not a rant, but an observation based on the fact that you know nothing about what you are arguing about, you didn't even know the name of the manufacturer and still couldn't figure it out after a detailed history of the company was posted to educate you. The governor said the state did not borrow and there is no evidence to show that they borrow and if you have anything to prove the governor wrong, then go ahead.... ..but I'm 110 sure you have nothing so you are basically arguing with yourself. All this tantrums and defensive run around is unnecessary, just listen and learn. |

babapupa: You interpret the world within the framework of your knowledge and intelligence.I have no obligation to behave in a way that you like or approve or to explain myself to you. What is apparent to you may appear the opposite to the next guy.I never addressed you so you have no right to be rude. If you are the most intelligent man on earth how do you show it? By killing the everyone else to raise the average IQ? If I am arguing with myself does your mother pay for my internet access.Did I come to borrow from your father to pay for electricity? In your concrete thinking i "know nothing abot what I am arguing about and didn't even know the name of the manufacturer" let us take that to be so . So what ? Are you or your father the internet police? I did not post at you so why post at me. Whatever problem I have what has it got to do with you are you a messiah why did you not move on . In life you inhabit a world created by your thoughts and actions. We are exchanging words because YOU did not mind your business. If you did not act there would be no reaction. Next time when you see a crime being committed call the police do not turn superhero.Believe me you and you dozen Ids( COLORTOOTH,EI ETC) that i have already smeared in previous encounters won't be able to cope if I should get angry with you so just jejely leave me with my argument with myself and find your level. I am not confused as you are so simple to decode so it must be your father who is confused. You sit there with you real ID frothing in impotent rage too cowardly to come forth and finally decide that babapupa should take the hit. Your mental level is low but tragically you lack insight and even consider yourself bright. Omo Eran As far as arguing with oneself what do I call a person who creates several Ids and simulates ABUSIVE arguments among them a "pathetic nebbish" |

aribisala0: lol... Get over yourself already. You are on the internet and this discussion is not strictly about you so calm down. You made so many ignorant assertions and you were corrected, be grateful and say thanks for the free education. You keep talking about abuse, but all the abusive including farther and mother insults came from you. Obviously, you are still confused. |

all4naija: Listen, dude, can't you argue without using insults? I am a little bit perturbed you really understand what your argument is all about and the consequences of passing insults on others. It is obvious you don't have good English comprehension(that is a fact), if not you would understand what my argument is about. My argument is about iPhone 5 failure to meet up to hypes and expectations. |

seunpinky: Nice reponse by our governor... Buh wait a minute, his he trying 2 tell us dat he bought 32 fire fighting engines for 15million dollars?? Is that too small or too much? Do you know what a fire engine is? it is not the one used in making fire in your grandma's kitchen o! |
Re: Fashola Denies Obtaining $15m From Export-import Bank by babapupa: 9:30pm On Jan 16, 2013 |
$15 million sef sounds like a great bargain because new ones like what Lagos state is getting cost up to $1 million each... |
Re: Fashola Denies Obtaining $15m From Export-import Bank by leighcon(m): 10:44pm On Jan 16, 2013 |
To Aribisala0 and others who have made up their minds to interpret this transaction as a loan(better still a shady deal); The transaction is purely for contingent reasons. Ask yourself this question, what if the fire engine company finishes manufacturing and government or its policy changes to the negative e.g say Fashola was suddenly unseated and then the new governor says I am not paying for the fire engines? Who then buys them? If you may want to know, the fund must have been placed with(or guaranteed to) Nigerian Exim, because what they have simply done is to make an obligation to pay no matter the eventualities that follow. The only party that borrowed was the US company which is not unsual for that kind of business. The lender of the fund i.e US Exim in order to guarantee repayment of its own loan has only obtained guarantee from LASG through NIG Exim. And as to why the government did not go to Volvo, DAF etc, those ones make general purpose trucks which can now be customised by for instance a fire engine manufacturing firm. Walie already hinted you on the likely make-up of the internals. |

leighcon: To Aribisala0 and others who have made up their minds to interpret this transaction as a loan(better still a shady deal);WALLIE WROTE Wallie: and I REPLIED aribisala0: Mr Leighcon PLEASE SUPPLY A QUOTE WHERE I SAID LAGOS STATE BORROWED MONEY I said it is "fishy" meaning not transparent not quite the same thing as "a shady deal" which are not the words I used. regarding Your explanation about why they do not go to DAF Volvo etc. I believe it is better to say nothing if you do not have facts.Clearly you are guessing. This company is not a major player in Fire engines we would have to look at the likes of Daimler and Rosenbauer,Mercedes for contenders to the title of sector leaders and my issue is any firm needing Exim Support is a fledgling player. It may be the order was too small for major players but I would be guessing just as you obviously are.Anyway I am keen that my words or overall argument is not miscontrued.Your conclusion suggests you either did not read my posts or that you misunderstand them. I don't think you get my point which is ok.Just ignore my posts but don't misrepresent me. I VERY CLEARLY SAID LAGOS IS NOT BORROWING so explain where you get your conclusion from |

lol @ not transparent. What's not transparent about the governors explanation? All the talk about the unknown company and their financial stability is nothing but your own assumptions and made up headaches. A company that's been in business forever, did business with the US government, foreign governments and municipalities all over the world is a small player? What a comedian.... |

Re: Fashola Denies Obtaining $15m From Export-import Bank by obi2012: 7:08am On Jan 17, 2013 |
this guy is a smart guy... no one will load their crude just like no one will build 32 custom fire trucks with no bank guarantee or letter of credit... The local nigerian bank issues an LC or bank guarantee representing Lagos State and since the manufacturer might not be comfortable with a nigerian bank, Ex-im guarantees the Nigerian banks' letter of credit or guarantee to facilitate the transaction.. deal goes on.. Delafruita: lets use a simple analogy.Mr. A is a nigerian businessman who owns a company that exports crude oil.Mr. B is a foreigner who wants to purchase about 50,000 barrels of crude oil.when Mr A and B have agreed on terms of the deal,Mr B's foreign bank would forward a letter of credit to Mr. A's bank or alternatively,mr B's bank will issue him with a bank guarantee which would be presented to Mr A's bank.the LC and BG simply stand in lieu of the cash at that point of the deal.when Mr. A supplies the crude and Mr B acknowledges, then MR b's bank will convert the LC or GB into cash and transfer it to Mr A's bank for onward payment to MR A.however, before MR nB's bank will issue an LC or a BG,they would have confirmed that MR B has the required amount to conclude the deal or that he has the collateral to cover a loan facility for the deal.its the way business is done |
