The Mgt of University of Ibadan have denied stale students of university accomodation under the pretence of curbing the exorbitant electricity bills being incurred by the students in the halls of residence. Meanwhile this inhumane treatment is just to prevent the students from protesting the unjust rules and regulations which the school mgt have put on ground for this new session(no cooking, resuscitation of cafeteria system, the list goes on) bcs if the students are not on campus how wud they protest against the mgt.
And as such only freshers and finalists are eligible to apply for accomodation.
Students have been rendered homeless and the Mgt still deemed it fit to arrest these homeless students for loitering.
And to add insult to injury, the VC did not see us as mature persons to negotiate with but instead called for a parents forum (PTA meeting) for students in a university *can u imagine?*
He might as well add school uniforms so that we'll know we are students of a secondary sch thats why we shud have day-students and boarders!
