Why Are Most Youth Not Interest In Politics by Gabrinoz: 11:03pm On Jan 21, 2013
I have being observing in recent time that our youth(particulaly working class "comfortable" youth)are not interest in constructive politics. Wheather we like it or not, politics is the platform for long term development, politics is what define posterity that and its what will secure the future of our children, so, if the youth do not paticipate positively in our political proccess, then we should forget about better future. 215 is around the corner its never too late.

no pleasure is derived from it like watching movies in the cinema. no fault of theirs because they see no benefit in it here in nigeria. unlike in the US or uk where u see youths campainging door to door, so excited about it, no fear of political thugs and touts like we have here.

This era is the era with the most political activists ever and that's because people who were around during the civil war, june 12 and the 4th republic are still alive today. In other words, most political activists cannot be described as youths. The youths are not interested in politics and even on nairaland, you see them in the romance, entertainment, celebrity and sexuality section than in the politics section. That's a sign that the future will be worse than the present because even with the activists we have today, things are still not rosy. Now take away these activists and leave the blackberry generation and you'll see why Nigeria is in trouble. God save us.
