Fellow Nigerian,I can now conclude that the Lagos teacher recruitment exercise that took place around September last year is nothing but a ruse. All effort to obtain the true state of the exercise at the various educational district prove abortive .But from a reliable source we discover that some people were actually given appointment letter, that is those on the special list(candidates from the Governor, commisioners and perm.sec.).I don't see any difference between PDP and CAN they are both birds of a feather.I don't advice anybody to apply for this job next time except you have a letter from a top government official.

God will see them through but I will advise them to as well look for business to do to support their teaching job.

Nothing like being one boss/Self-employed.
I'm happy being one.

@op, how do you know that those that were given letters are candidates from governor, commisioners and perm.sec? did they indicate that on the lists or did they separate them during screening? I think you should be patient, enough. if it took dppr or So to start calling after 3 years of application, what do you want the applicant to do compare to just 4 months of yours?

A 2.1 English graduate from TASUED, who happens be my younger sis, couldn't also pass the test? Isn't that incredible? It isn't gainsaying, she is a brilliant student right from her primary school level - tertiary, and have written tests where she taught @ Progress college, a public school and later Doregos a private school taking the senior classess! When she told us some wrote the exam twice because they didnt read education, I knew sth was fishy! Acn , are just noisemakers would fault hole in any agenda the PDP wants to execute , whereas they 'r even worse. Corrupyion is everywhere, God help 9ja

forget that story. what about a friend,1st class brilliant engineering graduate that failed slumberger aptitude tests woefully? are you saying that there are no better brains than your sister?in as much that I know there're lots of irregularities, but your sister can fail any exams depending on the type of questions.that is where competition sets in.

Go to No. 26 Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, and ask for the Supreme Thief(nubu) that lives there. If you can get a letter of recommendation from him, then the job is yours. I advise you to take a mat along - in case the need arises to sleep outside his gate for days in order to gain his attention.

The recruits tagged project 355 by LASG were made to sign for 25k training allowance after d month training and sch placement and have not been paid till date. Heard from some of those that were trained the money was released yet not paid to them
After 2 test, they were trained for close to a month(not sure) and still hold valid ID card which expires 2014.
A lot of them resigned their former job to attend the training and teaching placing in govt Secondary sch which lasted a month. Heard that some female bankers resigned from higher paying job so they could have time for their family.

The truth of the matter is the list of the successful candidates is wth Gov Fashola awaiting his approval but if u listen to news u will hear that the teachers in Lagos along wth others in about 12 states are planning to embark on strike action if the govs in those states fail to implement TSS by the end of January. I heard lasg is looking into the issue of TSS before recruiting new teachers. So put ur mind at rest.

A friend of mine applied, went through the exercise and was appointed. To be fair, the application exercise was not devoid of god fatherism and influence. While some of us were on queue when submittng the completed form at an office in mainland, ojodu side, some guy escorted by a police man with list of candidates came when every1 was on d queue, submited the names and left. After selection, provided u meet the requirements, you will go through series of screening, tests and successful ones are employed. My friend was employed 2011 without a god father or influence. Many candidates of the god father were left. But if u get Tinubu or Fashola as god father,u fit enter sha. Welcome to Nigeria

the deal is the exercise was to have people on stand~by as so many teachers that were empoyed in 1979 to early 80s are retiring this year to next year. so if you participated in the exercise, please keep looking for other options so as not to be idle. keep praying along also so that the exercise doesnt get hijacked through selfish interest. you may even get a better option before you are called.
