Female Billionaire, Mrs Alakija Loses Her Position To A Younger by gistyinka(m): 1:51pm On Jan 26, 2013
Nigerian leading female Billionaire, Folorunsho Alakija is the longer the world's richest black woman according to Forbes.

She was displaced by 40-year-old Isabel dos Santos, the oldest daughter of Angolan President, Jose Eduardo Dos Santos.
Isabel has been buying more shares of publicly traded companies in Portugal, including shares in a bank and a cable TV company. Those stakes, combined with assets she owns in at least one bank in Angola, have pushed her net worth over the $1 billion mark, making her Africa’s number one woman billionaire.

However, Mrs Alakija is still the richest woman in Nigeria.

angola is an African country, southern part of the continent.
How are we so sure the Angolan president daughter, 40-year-
old Isabel dos Santos, is not like the situation of Mohamed Abacha. Cos African leaders are something else with money.

Forbes previously estimated Alakija's net worth to be around $600m. . .so, if this Angolan babe is now worth over $1b, she's clearly the wealthiest woman in Africa.

Angola is Africa's largest oil exporter, and somehow, the richest person in the country 'happens' to be the president's daughter. That is an amazing 'coincidence' I would say!

angola isnt africas largest oil exporter. Nigeria is. We export about 2.7million barrels per day while Angola is less than 2million barrels per day.

Highest Oil-Producing Countries
In Africa 2011
This entry is the total oil
produced in barrels per day (bbl/
day) as of January 1, 2011. The
discrepancy between the amount
of oil produced and/or imported
and the amount consumed and/
or exported is due to the
omission of stock changes,
refinery gains, and other
complicating factors.
#1. Nigeria
Barrels per day: 2,211,000
Nigeria produces 2.2 million
gallons of oil per day, placing
them 12th among producers. But
they are the 4th biggest
exporter, exporting 2.1 million
barrels each day. Much
controversy has surrounded oil
production in Nigeria. Most
recently Royal Dutch Shell is on
the defensive following a $100
million fine imposed by a
Nigerian court for a 1970 oil spill.
Also, past reports show that
militants have attacked pipelines
and kidnapped oil employees,
cutting into Nigeria’s oil
production. Last year, a military
attack in Nigeria’s Oil Delta killed
up to 150 people.
#2. Algeria
Barrels per day: 2,125,000
Algeria produces 2.1 million
barrels of oil daily. In 2010,
Algeria’s president fired the CEO
and top managers of the state-
owned oil firm Sonatrach
following a corruption scandal.
#3. Angola
Barrels per day: 1,948,000
Angola produces 1.9 million
barrels of oil daily, and export 1.8
million barrels, placing them at #
7 on the world’s list of exporters.
#4. Libya
Barrels per day: 1,790,000
Libya produces 1.7 million barrels
of oil per day, while exporting
1.2 million barrels daily. As
violence in Libya currently
escalates, the price of oil has
skyrocketed.
#5. Egypt
Barrels per day: 680,500
#6. Sudan
Barrels per day: 486,700
#7. Equatorial Guinea
Barrels per day: 346,000
#8. Republic of Congo
Barrels per day: 274,400
#9. Gabon
Barrels per day: 241,700
#10. South Africa
Barrels per day: 191,000
#11. Chad
Barrels per day: 115,000
#12. Tunisia
Barrels per day: 91,380
#13. Cameroon
Barrels per day: 77,310
#14. Cote d’Ivoire
Barrels per day: 58,950
#15. Democratic Republic of
Congo

#16. Ghana

Is it that African leaders are cursed or what?

First, it was Alakija who made money from the oil well IBB gave to her.

Now its the daughter of the President of Angola.

I mean, can't leaders stop exploiting their citizens? Why has the desire for ill-gotten wealth eaten deep into Africans as a whole? Can't we have Forbes billionaires who made their money without "scam"?

When Gadaffi's account was checked, he was declared to be the richest man in the world, so was Mubarak. Yet, some dudes would blame the West for the penury that spreads across the land.
