symbianDON: a friend of mine made a stop at a restaurant to have lunch while he was on a journey (don't wanna mention d town). He ordered pounded yam and egusi soup. Soon after he finished d first wrap, he made to eat a generous piece from the 'smoked fish' in d soup. Turned out the supposed smoked fish was actually blackened snake lizard usually kept in d soup pot as a fetish charm to attract customers!!!! The newly employed waitress hadn't learnt d ropes well enough. Needless to say, d madam nearly swooned and made frantic efforts to mollify my friend to no avail. Anyway, till date, he has not eaten in any restaurant since then!!and the charm worked on him...... Seriously she ought to have been arrested and her license seized for eternity( i.e if buka get licence), that's why i prefer taking junks ( eggroll, meatpie, fishpie e.t.c) to visiting a restaurant. |

@acecube @sigba..... He was so pissed, all he could do was to puke and wallow in self pity......though he made sure every other person in d restaurant was aware of all that had happened. The length some people go in d name of business success is unimaginable!! |

I went to eat at the mammy market in NYSC camp in PH. I always ate at a particular calabar kitchen. This fateful day, I ordered rice and peppersoup and was eating jejely. My seat happened to be opposite the kitchen door. I saw one of the sales girls pouring back into the pot, peppersoup that someone had eaten and remained. I shouted and they started apologizing. I left my food but poured the peppersoup into the rice and messed up the food so that they don't resell it. I was just thinking of all the rubbish the person that remained the food could have done to it. God save us from eating what will kill us. 2 Likes |

devour129: This is a long story so you guys have to bear with me ! back at oau, there was this igbo(nnewi couple) near samtad that sold igbo food and delicacies.normally, when we go there to buy isi-ewu or nkowbi,we just order and they make it and bring it out for for us while we spent time gisting with the owners(as we are igbos too in a foreign town)i have lost count of how many times mi friends and i have bought food from so on this particular day,we just finished an exam so we passed tru there and we were in a hurry so we order but it was taking too long so i decided to go to the kitchen to hurry them up and up till today,i have never eaten isi-ewu again.i saw the lady taking water from a pool of dirty water in the sink and mixing the isi-ewu and when i screamed in horror, she claimed that there tap was bad so they store there water in the sink, was still trying to consider if i should run or throw up and the dad walked in (cos he was eating egwusi soup at the sit-out when we came in) and he went straight to the sink where the daughter was taking water from to make food for people and washed his egwusi hands while asking me why i screamed !!!!!! i took off and alerted mi friends and we all walked out but the worst was that the dirty drunk of a man started abusing us that we ordered food and now we are leaving ,who will pay him and i told him God go punish him.fast forward some months later,an nnewi friend invited to there cultural day loo and behold,it was this dirty wicked family that catered the foodOMG! |

i have many but the outstanding was so embarrassing.came back from sch tired and hungry, went to the nearby restaurant, ordered for eba n egusi soup.there was no pepper in the soup and after few balls of eba i started feeling extremely nauseous,i knew immediately wat was wrong but i asked anyway 'did u put plenty crayfish in this soup?' the answer was yes.just knew i had to look for the nearest bathroom because i hated crustacea.sad thing is the restaurant had no restroom and i did not make it home before the puking started, thrice on the street to the full glare of public.i wanted to disappear! 1 Like |

Mine was a very terrible experience. I went with a friend to our usual joint at New Hall in Unilag, where I ordered for the usual ofada rice and fried fish. While eating, I noticed a horrible smell and was even telling my friend it was coming from the deep freezers of some of the stalls who keep fish or meat in their freezer and was going bad because there had not been power for some time. Little did I know that the horrible smell was coming from the spoilt fish in my MOUTH. I was so pissed. I took it back to the lady that served it and told her to eat some of it, trust Naija girl, she only smelt it and apologized and offered to replace it for me or refund my money. I just left in anger after giving her a strong reprimand. But that didn't stop me from going back there after a week sha...I'm sure they must have really jazzed me... 1 Like |
