The situation of this country is becoming more deplorable day in day out as the men of Joint Task Force at Mbiama bridge by Bayelsa State are busy extorting monies from Motorist.
This JTF group have in place youths from the Mbiama community that stop moving vehicles and extort the drivers of #200 for a lorry, #100 for a bus and #50 for a bike, the youths serve just as comouflage for these bad officers that rob innocent drivers of their hard earned monies.

The major issue is that these drivers are being robbed from both side of the bridge per trip not minding whether the vehicle is fully loaded or not, one of the drivers that run Port Harcourt to Bayelsa says for every of his to and fro trip is robbed of #400 and he runs atleast two trips per day making him lose at least #800 to them daily.

This is a big crime against citizens by people that are suppose to protect them, the nation's vehicle is indeed approaching a huge obstacle as a reliable source have it that returns are always given to the senior officers incharge which will make the exercise unstoppable
