Your thread is embarrassing.
i wont fast..prayer maybe..i,ll only hope and pray against the sort of dodgy penalty that was awarded against the eagles when they played against zambia.i,ll pray they didnt get the sort of dubious officiating they got against burkina fasso.i pray they didnt get dubious penalty awarded to them against ivory coast.

If they are going to score, may them score and win fair.

I believe they,ve got what it takes to win, they havent played to fans expectations yes but they have managed to organise our defence which had been our weakest link for years.

I think there is something special about this set of eagles..thats why i believe they,ll not only overcome the elephants but win the AFCON trophy as well.call me dreamer if you wish, they,ll win the cup.
im a Nigerian but my belief is not borne out of patriotism.

This team werent given any chance against catalunya..some said they would come out heavily embarrassed,i wasnt scared before that match..the final result was 1-1
They played cape verde and lots of people wrote them off,i didnt..cape verde defeated cameroun and that feat wasnt a fluke.Same cape verde was held by south africa, host nation in the opening match and they are still riding high.

They played their first match against burkina fasso, they were held to a 1-1 draw and again they were written off..same burkina fasso ended up topping the group and i think they,ll play in the semi finals

Nigeria played zambia and narrowly dropped points after some bad call from the referee.

They were expected to wallop the ethiopians, they ended up with 2-0 scored via penalties after moses was brought down inside their 18 yard box.

They simply deserve respect. You all can say all you wish,i believe they,ll continue to fly high.your pessimism and negativities wont affect them.

Ogude wont be playing,i think its a blessing in disguise, the team needs someone fast and more intelligent.
Omeruo is smart and physically imposing enough to withstand drogba and co,oboabona is very tough and wont be intimidated by them either,my only concern is echiejile but i believe if he steps up his game, sundays match will be his best performance...Yaya will be taken care of by igiebor or onazi if they are fielded.

Someone should please tell @acidtalk that NO NORTH AFRICAN TEAM MADE IT TO THE QUARTER FINALS..he said a north african team will win the trophy.

He also said Nigeria wil not do well in this tournament..he supported his claim by referring us to his post when they played their second match against zambia which they drew..

The only comment from him since then was to say ..shame to eagles fans for celebrating a team that scored ethiopia via 2 penalty kicks..

I ask him..were those penalties against ethiopia not deserved?

na wa 4 dis our obodo naija with prayers, now we have to pray for our president(including his wife, children, his aged mother, his brothers & sisters & please remember to exclude his late brother who died in Aso rock. his senior special assistants, their wives, children, their children's children, their children's boyfriend & girlfriend, same to other assistants and the various girlfriends & boyfriends all over the world, his domestic housemaids, his drivers(their children) and less i forgot, including the president's female lovers & the lady that almost messed up president in Austria)
same to the vice president, but his own is a little bit different from that of the president because his religion allows him to marry more than one wife and have as many concubines as he can manage, so lets go(his wives, concubines, children, his brothers & sisters, his senior special assistants, their wives, children, their children's children, their children's boyfriend & girlfriend, same to other assistants and the various girlfriends & boyfriends all over the world, his domestic housemaids, his drivers(their children)

The senate president, his will not be much but we must pray for his wife, children, brothers & sisters, assistants their wives/husbands, I heard that David grandchildren, so we have to include them also in our prayers.

speaker of the house of reps, the vice president religion is applicable to him, so his will be the same as the vice president only that he his not entitled to so many assistants.

members & staffs of national assembly, their husbands/wives, drivers, children, domestic housemaids & even their girlfriends

all the ministers & ministers of states , this one will be countless but I hope we all know that we will be praying for them, their husband, wives, children, drivers, security-men, housemaids girlfriends & boyfriends, its so countless

state governors & their wives, assistants & others, this praying nonsense will continue until gets to policemen, members of our armed forces, local government chairmen or chairpersons, our pastors and the wives, teachers, peace, security economy, states & others

so on a final note, I will say Nigerians are the most bamboozled people on planet earth because we are religiously & spontaneously combusted.

honestly reading this post makes me feel pity for NIgeria, if we can't find even one thing good about Nigeria. How on earth can we make it work?
Do you think football is won only by hardwork? How come chelsae won the champions league last season?
Common these guys have not lost a match yet. The goals they've scored so far are from their efforts entirely, so why the hating. Even the holy book some of u are quoting says "the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong..." -Ecl. And I dare add "nor is football to the most skillful". So why can't u pray for them? This is one thing that can help Nigeria, and look at what we are looking like.
We all know hardwork pays, but see it is said in the bible again "it is not of him that willeth or him that runneth. But of God that showeth Mercy". Do u think they don't try their best too? They also feel bad when they loose. But u should know by now that hardwork alone doesn't bring success.
If naija is going to work we should see as such and believe. Jesus said it himself he didn't come for the strong.
This is one of the reasons they will be willing to play their hearts out their club. Cos of the love from fans. Can u imagine someone saying he'd rather fast for his foreign club?!
Not even a local club u can see here and gain more from, if the support was good enough.

My prayer for the Super eagles: they shall soar higher than ever and every, though their might be as that of a fowl. In Jesus' powerful name, Amen.

Naija all the way.

I cant waste my time doing such a rubbish. There are many things that gets my attention and prayers but not soccer. So, the team that plays better should go ahead to the semi finals

Haba, if you think they are not among the best naija has, where are the replacements? If not in the naija league, maybe its not their time yet. The heck! Keshi looked home and abroad for Christ's sake. Sometimes when you know you've given your best all that is left is to pray that it will be enough. I will include them in my prayers. I am already on fasting.

are u trying to say that God takes side? Nigerians with their wrong religious mentality.

so if u re fasting & praying in Nigeria; & the Ivory Coast pastors are also fasting and praying; WHO WILL GOD THEN ANSWER THEIR PRAYERS?

I think; Ivory Coast stands a better chances of getting their prayers answered by God than Nigeria; reason:-

They prepare for the competitions for a long time. which the Bible supports FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEATH

The level of corruption in Nigeria is far far greater than the one in Ivory Coast; THE PRAYER OF A SINNER IS AN ABOMINATION TO GOD.

Nigerians are only religious in their lips & wen they re in trouble... UR CALL ON ME LORD LORD; AND I WILL SAY I KNOW U NOT.

I think these will tell u that fasting 4 the sunday match is a waste of time & hunger strike.... grin grin grin
