Pls i need ur advice on this issue. There is dis guy i have dated for 1year he has not proposed yet and we have not introduced ourselves to our family yet though he claimed d relationship is serious. Other guys that have been on my way i have turned down i have never cheated on him. Hi classic lady,welcome to the thread.though others have said it,I just felt I should point out one or two things especially the part where you mentioned keeping other guys on the radar as a form of Backup.

That will only distract you.It is either you are in a relationship or you are not.You won't enjoy it when you are divided ,besides that an act of indiscipline.If you are bothered about anything ,DISCUSS it with your partner.Afterall he is your partner.Let him know your worries and hear what he has to say.Don't be shy please.Let him also tell you what is keeping him.He must not build a house if his own before he gets a wife(just saying).

Lastly,the fact that you are in your mid 20's doesn't mean that you are ready for marriage.I feel the societal pressure too but trust me marriage requires a lot.Please take your time.My point is talk with him and things will be fine.Good luck!

.......And so I listened to one of late Pst Bimbo odukoya's teaching on issues concerning singles/ married. It was so inspiring ,I learnt a lot from it but one particular message really caught my attention and I felt I should share.

Its about people especially ladies who assume they are in a relationship with someone,even though it was not verbally defined.


Many a times ladies just assume a guy is their boyfriend just because he calls her sweet names,buys you gift,always around you e.t.c. Personally I have listened to heart-to-heart programmes where ladies call in and cry bitterly that their best friend(a guy) is getting married to someone else. They even went as far being intimate ,so she that made her think that they were in a relationship. Apart from being heartbroken when the guy finally spells it out that you were never his girlfriend,keeping such a guy around you makes you loose your chances of meeting other men because they will just assume that you are in relationship.

My point is ,get your relationships verbally defined. If he is taking time to say it,ask him!Never you assume#word
