In as much as i agree with you on american nationality, can you just agree with me that if a particular ethnic group dominate the government on merit to the detriment of others here in nigeria it can result to the unexpected. Nigeria have not attained that sort of integration of a society like the usa. Here, in nigeria, you see an ethnic group call themselves born to rule, you see another one, we have never ruled before, you see another one crying over marginalization of them being minority e.t.c in these sort of situation how do you expect nigeria to churn out the best leaders. These is just nigeria problem and not comparing with america that dont care about their ethnic leaning and only care about the best. How do we eradicate such a mentality bro? I agree with you on the american part though kalokalo: |

Afam4eva: I just watched the farewell speech of the US secretary of state, Hillary Clinton and it just hit me that this she contested against Barrack Obama for the democratic ticket but lost. The person she's passing the baton to, John Kerry was also a democratic presidential candidate who contested against George W Bush. This is just a commentary of the level of intellectuals and experienced people that are heading various agencies in the US. President Barack Obama is not necessarily more intelligent than these two people. They're as intelligent and experienced is not more than the current American president. Obama himself knows what these people have got to offer, that's why he's brought them in to solidify and contribute their wealth of experience to the benefit of America. This goes to show that this is a country where the very best hands are sort after irrespective of the differences that may exist between them... What the hell are you talking about? Is Okonjo not a part and parcel of the present government y'all loathe? Others have all occupied public offices and done their bits. |

pokur: Yeak ok senator from New York etc etc.. what made her specially qualified to be secretary of state? I just don't get this ''America hires the best most intellgent blah blah blah''. George W Bush ruled America for 8 years, could barely string two sentences together and was roundly condemned as 'stup.id'. |

401kk:What difference can the body make make if the head is not functioning. People like Okonjo can be accused of anything but not been clueless. |

OP are you saying that GEJ is a square peg in a round hole? How so, why is he not qualified to be president? |

Afam4eva: Why shake your head? If it was a Nigerian leader that made constant grammatical errors, we wouldn't hear the last of it from you. The sad thing about Bush is that English was actually his first language and yet he was abysmal at it. God knows how he'd fare at French or (holy of holies) Igbo or Yoruba. |

^^After you charge your battery, tell us what Ronald Reagan (a Hollywood actor) achieved prior to taking up the presidency. Then you can tell us what Arnold ''The Terminator'' Schwarzeneggar achieved as a barely literate body builder/kung fu specialist in Hollywood prior to leading the state of California, the world's 9th largest economy were it to be a country. |

Afam4eva: You were citing Obama as an example of a square peg in a square hole. What are Obama's antecedents, what has he achieved politically? |

ROSSIKE: ^^After you charge your battery, tell us what Ronald Reagan (a Hollywood actor) achieved prior to taking up the presidency.Apart from Ronald Reagan being the governor of California, himself and Arnold have gotten to the highest height of their endeavour in hollywood. Americans vote for people that have succeeded tremendously in their chosen field. But the reverse is the case in Nigeria. |
