confusion247: We are enjoying One Nigeria as prescribed by Gowon. To crown it all, we have fresh air now. The transformation agenda will soon follow.
Will soon follow? After almost two years already gone? You must be one of those enjoying the unprecedented corruption rate of this dispensation.

1 within the last four years i have made over 6million from planting and havesting palm karnel

STFU and stop blowing your trumpet. I also made quite some money from my media consulting firm and I am presently thinking of investing in Agriculture, but that doesn't mean the OP is wrong. This country does not provide an enabling environment for youths to start up as enterpreneurs. Banks will rather give loans to the elites, and the so-called govt financial institutions like NERFUND would usually ask for tips before they process your loan application. I had been a victim of this situation severally. The truth is I started my company through funds raised by family members. How many families can raise the needed start-up capital for their young ones to start with? Its good that U and I are making money via hardwork and ingenuity, but don't pretend like it was child's play when starting up. How did you raise your capital, only God knows.

You get to enjoy the 'privilege' of doing it all from scratch. Building a nation, somewhere you can call home, that is.
Re: What Do We Get To Enjoy As Nigerians? by Nobody: 8:26pm On Feb 05, 2013
speedyboi: Really? Okay:

1. you guys don't pay any tax whatsoever! Yet you want infrastructural development. It doesn't work that way sorry.

2. 90% of nigerians don't pay for electricity. No meter, no nothing. You just call on the nearest electrician to do 'direct connection' for you. Mtcheew yet you want light to improve.

3. You engage in all types of unruly behaviour (including the ones i've stated above) without getting arrested.

4. When you contravene rules and unfortunately, an official tries to caution/sanction you guys, you argue with them (and you are the one at fault most times).
When you frustrate them, and they now shoot you, you will be throwing your weight around and publishing one side story.
5. You use browsing cheats openly.....it's illegal peeps.
6. You pirate anything pirateable. And no one catches you.
7. You do your job (civil service especially) without dedication, and no one questions you.
8. Government opens a well-equipped hospital today and next month, the equipments have been stolen one after the other by medical staff (nigerians). 6 months later, the hospital looks like a grave yard due to the mismanagement and poor maintainance culture (-of other people's properties) of nigerians. Yet, no one (the M.D. - A nigerian) cares to investigate the issue.

9. You drive recklessly on roads......and no regard for any rule.
10. Mehn it's a free world in naija and you claim you don't enjoy anything. Oh puhlease! Spare me.

That's why they end up in prison when they travel out of the country. Nigerians don't even know right from wrong again; that the reason why whenever a governor tries to bring back the rule of law, they criticise them. They are so comfortable with their primitive ways. I shake my head.

You get to enjoy the 'privilege' of doing it all from scratch. Building a nation, somewhere you can call home, that is.

It's the same way life is structured. Some people are born into rich homes (Europeans, Americans), and don't have to do diddly squat. Daddy already did all the sweating for them, and they just kick back and enjoy the scenery. While some others (the rest of us) are born in the Ajegunles and Ijora Badiyas of this world (Africa, Asia), to drunk-azz agbero dads, or poor artisans, or maybe we were even abandoned on the street sef.

So we need to choose which one we want to do on this planet. Asians are on the verge of breaking their cycle of poverty, while Africans are still blaming Daddy (or Daddy's employers) for their sad lot. Y'all had better get busy doing something meaningful with your life rather than whining over the government not paying for you to watch footie. How silly can Nigerians get sef?

*who told you people pay little or no income tax? Its either you don't work, or you don't reside in the country. I pay my tax and I know a thousand others who do. In Nigeria, tax is deducted before your take home pay. So learn!
*plural marriage or adultery without jail term is not only enjoyed in Nigeria alone.
*whatever you mean by cheap business registeration? It cost me almost N60,000 ($380) to register my LTD company. That over three times the country's minimum wage! This is the average cost of registering a LTD company with 1,000,000 share capital.
*I'm sure if you compare the Oil producing countries of the world, Nigeria sells petroleum products at the highest rates to its citizen even with the so-called subsidy.
*I guess you must have issues with your sight and hearing, else you would understand the risk of attending church services in Borno, Yobe, and Gombe States.
*On clean air, come to my area, and see industrial pollution. How can the air be clean with all the number of cars and generators emitting C02? We have refused to embrace green energy!

Sisi_Kill: I guess this thread is meant for the supporters of the Present Administration. . .apparently they are the only ones who enjoy stuff.

They are the only ones who enjoy 24rs of light where everyone else can't even remember what light looks like.

They are the ones who are getting millions of dollars worth of contract jobs, that's why they can jeer at their counterparts living abroad to come back home because of the "Many Opportunities to make money"...forget the millions of graduates looking for jobs.

They are the ones who drive on the best roads, so they don't understand when others talk about bad roads.

The have access to the best hospitals and clinics and their support of the FG makes them immune to being blown up by the terrorists killing people like flies.

The truth is the Supporters of the present Administration live in the REAL NIGERIA where everything is perfect and the rest of us. . .well we are living in a HELL but calling it Nigeria just to give Nigeria a bad name.

CROWÉ: There is no country in the world that religion serves as a way of unifying people, stop spreading bullshit, second, it is not the Nigerian governments responsibility to bring AFCON to Nigerians, you people depend too much on the government, whether it is how we have been conditioned or not, unless you were born in 1970 such a backward mindset is not forgivable. I think it was HiTV, if they still exist yell at them and AiT and NTA etc leave the government out of it, they have things that they are actually responsible for.

the ministry of info. in Ghana few years ago launched 14 free satellite hosted foreign and local channels not just for Ghanians but the whole of west Africa,(multi tv) mind you that most of those channels are either live streams they spend money to broadcast or pre paid channels.

Now what is the ministry of Info. in the most populous black nation in the world doing with their budget?
if you cant answer that then you are a stark m0r0n with inferiority complex.

Ghana is managing to export about 48,000bbls of crude daily with a tiny population and you think your Govt is doing you a a favor with corruption?

are you aware that most pay tV channels in Europe and America are viewed free in the middle east courtesy of their Govt? same oil money like Nigeria?

truth is; most Nigerians have not traveled out to understand how real Govt work, we have subconsciously set mediocrity as a standard.

most Saudi Arabian and Libyan citizens have never worked in their life courtesy of oil money, yet Our Niger deltans, custodians of Nigeria's oil wealth are up in arms for a mere 13% that cant go round.

you guys are shameless

That is why you see what is happening in Nija happening, because there is lack of interest and love for the country. It is a give and take situation. No child will love and cherish or be proud of a father who doesnt care about him, doesnt feed, cloth nor shelter him. That is the situation in Nija. Who cares? Nobody cares, those in power are only telling you and i stories while they are busy siphoning our resources to forieng accounts. Have you asked yourself why Nigerians always refer to the past as " GOOD OLD DAYS" ? Instead of saying " GOOD PRESENT DAYS ". That automatically tells you that NiJa is a sinking ship. Which means things are getting worst day by day, instead of better. Be wise!

Any country that is NOT North Korea has a lot to be thankful for.
God tends to like to permit one of such of anything (i.e. North Korea) so you have a good reference point to be thankful.
