If Nigeria have to win a trophy why not do it against a better team? Ghana is toooooo overrated, and it shows in their game vs Burkina Faso.

Nigeria, CIV, Burkina Faso and Cape Verde are the only tactically sound teams in this competition. Ghana is a complete disgrace and so is the Tunisian ref. I wonder if something good can come out of Tunisia!!!

I started rooting for the Mukinababes after the besterd referee gave the Ghanians the penalty. The support increased with each attempt of the referee to frustrate the Stallions.

Besides,the Stallions played better,probably as a result of being used to the field.

Good answer here. Let Ghana not rub shoulders with us because they became too pompous and was already looking ahead of the match they had with Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso was even 200% better than them. Ghana had already written Nigeria off because they had behind their back that Burkina Faso wasn't gonna stand them and that the victory was theirs.

Honestly, at the start of the match between Ghana and BUF I wanted the former to win because Naija vs Ghana is a "sexier" final on paper; 2 west African rivals.
However, after like half an hour into the semis, BUF was clearly the better team and the Black Stars have failed to really shine throughout the tournament (bar the Niger match).
So in the end I was happy that BUF won, especially since the ref's officiating was clearly oriented against them/in favour of Ghana.

I have no problem with Ghana as a nation. We have a lot to learn from them as a country and I'm sure there are one or two things they could learn from us as well.

nigeria lost to cameroon in the penalty shoot out in lagos in 2000, u know notting so pls shut up! We maintain a 12year unbeaten run against them till 2008,when they started having the upper hand against us, the stats is even 3wins and 3 draws for both side, simple!

Can't forget that in 2001 that even their keeper was given a red card and the captain had to keep cos they've substituted 3 players already.

In 2000, Naija lost to Cameroun.. My mistake, but AFCON comes every 2years and falls on even number.. 2000, 2002 until CAF changed it, so there was no AFCON in 2001.
