- I think the best and fastest way for you to go and join her is for her to marry you and afterwards sponsor you to come and join her in Canada.
- If you were to do it by urself, it will be so tough and secondly, it will take forever and they would want you to bring this and bring that.
- Thirdly, maybe its best to talk with an immigration lawyer.

- Yes, I am in Canada
- You can come on a student visa but am not sure how easy they give student visas fro naija. . . I know they have a lot of requirements
- If she is landed or a citizen, she can go back to naija for marriage and then use the marriage certficates, email communication evidence and any other proof to show you guys been together.

most of all, money!
then, proof that you are indeed going on vacation and you have ties that you will definately be returning home after your vacation.

Re: Travelling To Canada by igbogolo: 10:51pm On Jul 16, 2009
@bobobabe

Dont bother yourself. Get a deferral letter and resubmit again. without it, you will get a deficiency sheet, but then you would have spent money sending it thru DHL as the case may be. contact your school, defer ur application and address the issues raised in the refusal letter and reapply again if u still wish.
All the best

Re: Travelling To Canada by canadavisa: 1:31pm On Jul 17, 2009
Please is the old Nigerian passport still accepted for study visa to canada? I still have one that has not expired untill August 2010. Or is it the e-passport they collect now?
Re: Travelling To Canada by igbogolo: 2:51pm On Jul 17, 2009
@canadavisa

The old passport is still valid till 2010 before the new one kicks in.
What I am not sure is the exact date in 2010. i am not sure if its July, or December 2010 but you are still free to use the old one till then.

@ wonderbod, any news from CDHC yet?

@ all,I NEED UR CANDID ADVICE
Its been 2 weeks and 4 days since I had my medicals and there's still no visa in sight. Not dat I'm so anxious abt it but its just dat I got a better job recently and they nid to see my original documents b4 I resume which r all with CDHC. I have a 1 month period to write an acceptance letter and show my credentials. Funny enuf the 1 month acceptance period expires next week. It will be soo painful if they send back my docs back late(causing me to loose d job) only to tel me one sad story. I'm sooo confused rite nw. just dunno wat to do

I applied for the canadian visa through my agent since last september. Early this year, I was called for medical test without interview. Its almost six months now and I havn't heard anything from them. A confused, anyone with likely info on what the problem is because the school is resuming september.
