I am a proud owner of this device and currently running Viper 3.3.4 upgraded to 3.3.5. Its a great Custom Rom for HTC One X users.

I'm going to share the most useful applications to have on a HTC One X and would like you to share your must have apps.

Power Toggles - This is simply the best toggle app around. Able to toggle lots of main features.

Picsay Pro - This is a brilliant photo editor, but limited compared to some others. My personal favourite.

Rotation Locker - WYSIWYG. It locks your screen to either Portrait or Landscape. Really useful on some apps.

XDA App ICS Blue Colours/Themed - Our favourite forum app but with a complete red or blue colour theme thanks to our own Whiskey103

Memory Usage - Lists all current apps and tells you current memory usage, peak memory usage and priorities.

Desktop Visualizer - Makes shortcuts or widgets using a custom image and can be used to make custom icons.

Neutron Music Player - Neutron is a professional music player with amazing high quality. Great for audiophiles.

SuperSU - SuperSU is the Superuser access management tool of the future. *ROOT*

ROM Toolbox Pro - ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, ROM Manager and others. A must-have root app *ROOT*

AirDroid - For moving files between your PC and phone using WIFI

Tasker - The best app of its kind. It does almost anything

MXPlayer - MXPlayer is one of the best apps for viewing movies.

Photo Timeline - Lets you create a time elapsed sequence of anything you want with your camera and then play as a slideshow

Home Switcher - Switches between any Home Launchers you have on your device.

PicSpeed Wallpapers - Over 170,000 HD wallpapers of all different genres, for our device.

Solid Explorer - Solid Explorer is a file manager which with two independent panels is the most attractive, eye catching and intuitive file manager for the Android.
QuickPic - An alternate photo gallery app, incase you don't like the default

AdAway - AdAway is an open source ad blocker for Android. *ROOT*

B!G Caller Id pro- for full screen caller Id. the pro version removes the 5 contact limitation on the free version. it's the best around

Noozy- coupled with the noozoxide eizo rewire, music is like heaven

wallpaper wizadrii- always hated your wallpapers being cropped on the home screen? this is for you

fancy sense- running desense roms with the sense weather widget

flash image gui- flashes the boot.img when a custom Rom is built for a particular hboot version. no need to tell you is for rooted users

Airdroid is simply sweet. From the gui to the functionalities, its just awesome

battery life is okay. it depends on your use though

I get 17 hours, 4-5 hrs screen time medium usage ie mostly browsing, music and other less tasking works. heavy usage doesn't get past 8hrs.

it depends on the Rom. I use this as my daily diver cos of the less sense and deodexed, though I odexed it back. Sense really kills the running processes and overhauls ram on sense 4.1 and 4.5 though it's significantly improved on 4+.

considering, it doesn't have wakelocks too.

hi,friends,pls i need help about my htc hd7,i got it just about a month ago but not working fine,or may be because am new to it:
1;its not ringing out anymore for up to 2weeks now,and most painfully,it freezes like mad,done resetting severally but no luck, i would like anybody with any helpful info to pls help.tanx.i will be ready to answer ur questions to aid ur assistance.

Yes...although am using custom Rom so its probably different from the stock that comes with it. I installed custom Rom immediately I got home did not bother checking the phone default apps anyway.

Before we start troubleshooting, have you thought of returning the phone since its brand-new barely 3 months old already acting bad?

Just because this thread is for One-X users does not mean not to help others or shut the doors on non One-X users! Am sure you have randomly asked for help on Nairaland on different threads, everyone has.

Future Device Support





If your device is listed as "Undecided", it could be for several reasons, most likely due to that device not receiving an official JellyBean update from HTC. In this case, support is dependent upon the development community porting Sense 4+ JellyBean to that device, and making it functional enough to be worth making a Team Venom ROM for it.

If listed as "Unlikely", it means that either lack of an official JellyBean update (and less chance of a port) or the device is not being actively supported anymore past ICS by the current Team Venom Developer on that device.

To start with that website is not in English, I have seen many guides online mostly not in English for some reason. I will need full details of your htc for instance what android version are you running etc

I got my htc one x in january. Before then, I have never liked android. Being and still an ios/apple fan. But something caught ma attention about the oneX and I fell madly in love (beat by dre). I read so many reviews compaired and really checked the phone out. And after so many sleepless nights, I bought the phone and I enjoyed every second on the phone. Until someone cracked my screen. After changing while changing the screen the icing got burnt. And now, screen is no more working. I am waiting for a new screen I ordered for. And hoping to get my phone back by monday.

I have being reading a lot about and can see u guys are enjoying a lot with the Root. Am currently running on Jelly Bean 4.1... And when my phone comes back on monday(hopefully), I won't mind switching to the vernom.

But then, I would need u guys help, though am reading how to root from onex.com...

Am still very new to android and ready for schooling.

Has anyone here seen the New HTC ONE ? Mad phone...

Welcome to my thread for HTC one X & HTC One XL, Yea Venom is the BEST Rom out there! I have used it and I cant stop loving my HTC One X everyday. I have been a fan of Apple products for years and decided to give android a try and seriously my iphone 4 feels like a heavy brick in my hand. Great device! Wonderful experience and user friendly not to talk about the specs damn!

Okay man get your HTC repaired and flash Viper Rom and join my dream in the mean time educate yourself about rooting,flashing of roms etc @ onexroot.com
