Arise, O compatriots,
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith.

Shall never be in vain,
To serve with heart and might

MAYOWAAK: If Victor Moses had been home that day in 2002.

If he hadn't been out playing the beautiful game...He would have been dead along with his parents today.

Killed by his fellow countrymen, we would have lost him to the inaccurate statistics of those we have lost to bombings & riots in Nigeria.

Today he is alive & all of us, maybe including those who killed his parents or sponsored the 2002 riots, are celebrating his brilliant performance on the field.

We have won the AFCON cup today, let us dedicate the cup to peace in our nation & to all those we have lost through violence, riots & bombings; including the Father & Mother of Victor Moses. May the souls of all the departed, rest in peace!
well said

this tournament is the 1st time the Super Eagles refused to disappoint me starting from the Ethiopia game.
How i wish they can continue to play like this everyday cos the Igbos on this forum forgot Odumegwu Ojukwu as a biafran and decide to claim victor Moses as the same nigerian with them. The yorubas forgot Obafemi Awolowo as an oduan and claimed Emenike as a typican nigerian.

Awww this is unbelievable. The power of unity that football has. That for 90 mins, there is no hausa, igbo, or yoruba. That for 90 mins, there is only NIGERIA!!!
Looking @ d comments am seeing 2day on naira land, am so amazed. Never knew we could come together with one voice like dis in this forum (I personally move that all tribalistic threads in the politics section should be prevented from reaching the frontpage, cos it does exactly the opposite of what we are celebrating 2day) .
In summary, never underestimate the power of positive thinking. Never underestimate the power of a little faith and belief even when every atom of reasoning and logic tells u otherwise.
Break free from nay sayers around you. People who destroy your dreams b4 u even tell them about it.
My prayer is that we all learn from the Nigerian story.

Sunday Mba is a F U C K I N G Legend!!

I dont know what TB Joshua has been feeding him, but It obviously works!

Up Naija. Up Super Eagles.

BTW Brown ideye and Echeijile are wastes of space and should never be called up again.

the moment i heard that badluck goodluck will be in a london clinic instead of south africa for the game, i knew we have won.
news has it that he has intestine problem. why won't he suffer intestine problem when he can finish N1B on food?
they denied us viewing right claiming that caf charged them a lot of money but can they tell us how much david mark and his gang of wasters waste in their trip to south africa.
i am not only happy that we won this cup but i am also happy that the super eagles defiled pdp and their wickedness. the only way nigerians benefit from our abundant resources, you had the mind to deny us viewing the tournament. this 2013, the judgement of God will come upon this wicked rulers in nigeria.
shame to them and God pass them.
