The only way this mega party can work is if they present to Nigerians a sellable candidate. Rumours making the rounds have it that Buhari and Tinubu are going to pick the paety's ticket as president and vice president. If that happens, surely this mega party would amount to a thing of mockery. I know Johnathan is bad but Buhari is worse. We all know which is better between bad and worse.

Man mi, remember he said "rumours making the rounds"? Don't respond to so-called rumours . Let us wait and see what happens. What I know is that most influential Nigerian politicians will now be in the PDP or APC camp. What cannot be denied is that the APC is home to the largest number of good guys we all claimed we wanted to see administering the center only yesterday.

Do you know how many came here hollowly to say Utomi was the meritoriously best Presidential candidate in 2010-2011? How many also bombarded this forum telling us that the phenomenal performance of Rochas means he is a future Igbo President in waiting? Yet those who held those views are finding it difficult to transfer the loyalty they once had for those men they regarded as good yesterday to the Party they have now joined. What does this tell you about the ethnic and sectional division of Nigeria?

Bro I just wish you would not be sentimental over this. Firstly why I think that Buhari is worse than Jonathan is because Buhari is an extremist. Is Buhari a statesman? Please ask yourself and answer objectively. Here is man who called onMuslims to vote only Muslim candidates at the recent elections. As if that was not enough, when
given the chance to deny the statement, he blurted
that he only said Muslims should vote for those
who would promote their religion! Is that not one
and the same thing? And true to it, he did his campaign only in the North. No. 2 "If what happens in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon will all be soaked in
blood." - General Buhari. The above statement goes to show that Buhari is yet to be a democrat. It is a clear cut picture now that the upshot of the 2011 elections, I especially in the north, with the Boko Haram insurgents could be traced to the loss of the election by General Buhari. It is demeaning of an elder statesman, who was once the Head of State, to make statements indirectly inciting his supporters. Also Buhari is part of the north that has been ruling this country for the past fifty years and they plunged Nigeria to where it is today. What tangible thing can we point at as Buhari's achievement while in power. If you're talking about Fashola and this new generation leaders like Okorocha, Akpabio, Oshiomole. I would hear. Not Buhari pls

Gbawe: As usual, I see the same set of bigoted fools laughing at their own ignorance here mocking deliberate and focused efforts while introducing ethnicity into everything. They told us yesterday that the ACN is a Yoruba Party and the CPC and ANPP are Northern Parties. Now they have merged as APC, with even a faction of the APGA involved, we are still hearing the bigots shouting illogically and insanely that the APC is a "Yoorobu" Party or that it is an "Aboki" Party. Is it not only die-hard bigots and mad men who will continue to tag a Party with ethnicity when, factually, that Party has members from virtually every corner of Nigeria?

Is it not amazing to see what unthinking hatred can do to the mind? Hateful bigots should keep making this about "aboki" and "Yarobus". One of the worst and most "self-sabotaging" quality any man can possess is the sort of blind hatred that makes him oblivious to what he is doing wrong and renders him totally unwilling to take lessons from others to improve his own situation.

We know Nairaland is the home of hateful bigots who enjoy dancing around making a fool of themselves and celebrating their hollow hatred of others but the world outside this forum is still a place where some , regardless of ethnic affiliation, say the truth and analyse issues properly and pertinently as done below.

So, Messrs Bigots, carry on hating others, laughing at deliberate effort and setting negative examples that only ruin your own younger generation and forge them in the unhelpful and pointless hatred that has blighted your own life and rendered you far less effective than you should be. Some are laying down strategy for the future while the myopic bigot is busy needlessly alienating and antagonising others shouting "aboki" and "Yarobbus" Party without even having the foresight to plan for eventualities and scenarios. Sad. Very sad and very immature.

Thunder fire your bigoted mouth. How is Buhari an extremist? Can you define extremism? Is this because Buhari is a muslim or becuase he is desciplined?

I pity naive human beings like you.

Njiko and his types, are exactly the problem we have in igboland, supressing such silly voice like his from feeding our people with his imbecility is key to our political revival.
I can pick a lot of trash from his lenghty article, and if such a man who prides himself as being educated can be so daft, then i fear for my people.

As long as we stll have people that posses very shallow IQ like you still living in this country, we would never achieve any form of development. Didn't I clearly define extremism in my post? Am not surprised you wont comprehend no thanks to your non existent intelligence. Johnathan is trying foe you people o. He has built al majiri school for people like you. You won't go and enrol now. Idiot

You would not understand because , from what you write, you likely fall into the category of Nigerians who think every action must be motivated by materialism and the need to 'get paid'. In other words, every Nigerian is an Omokri, Okupe or Abati to you. The idea that some can be selflessly passionate about things they truly believe in is very alien to you considering the cash-and-carry diet you have grown up with. Just take it from me when I say no Nigerian politician can afford me.

bashy_demy: SMH for you, So you want less than a week old party formed by different people from different culture and from all part of the geopolitical zone to just come up with there blue print and manifesto same day? you are the likes that they use to lie to. Dont you think the part need time to sit on a round table and make necessary plan and what they both want for the country and make some agreement? Well for me i believe we are about 4 different parties coming together to form just 1 party and they all have there blue prints and manifesto before they merge and its gonna be a different Agenda. So they need time to sit down and make some necessary agreement on office holder and also bring there various manifesto on table and look into it and agree on what they all want for the country. So are you people saying you are more wiser than Pat Utomi, Ikimi, Buhari, Tinubu, Fashola, Oshiomole, Okorocha, El Rufai etc?

The manifesto is supposed to be in place and should be rolled out the same day the party was formed/merged. They didn't just woke up one morning and merged. They have been sitting and talking. Lets be sincere to ourselves, Those that merged don't even trust themselves. They are not sure of themselves either. They have different agendas for coming together to come out with such blueprint will be very hard if not impossible. They might be wiser than me but they are not wiser than GEJ, OBJ, Alex Ekuweme, Rotimi Amechi and other PDP stalwarts. I'm not a fan of PDP but APC is certainly not the answer!!!
