A Letter To My Unborn Child

Dear unborn child, please don't be annoyed nor be mad
That I still keep you waiting after all that I have had
I'm only waiting to get you the perfect dad
In today's world such a search is difficult, its so sad

In today's world, men are many but good husbands are few
Most of the men around here take women as biscuit to chew
They hop from one woman to another having a taste of them all as if women are stew
Its really hard to find one who will value one like the morning dew

My baby, because you are a precious seed I must watch who comes to plant
I must be sure he is not just after my money nor my pant
Mum used to tell me that love bug's sting hurts more than that from soldier ant
So you see why I must be careful to whom my love I grant

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all men are the same
In fact, you will see that your dad is another exception that will put others to shame
But I must take caution now while I can, so you don't ascribe to me the blame
Of making you a product of another man's heartless and mischievous game

My plan is to get you a dad that you will be proud of at home and on street
A father, who in your bad moments, reassures you that you are still sweet
A father, who when you fall, teaches you how to rise back on your feet
Trust me, he is out there looking for me too, and soon we will meet

@amberacious, Interesting! Lovely write up.

A Letter To Her Unborn Child

I'v met gurls, and i'v met women
I'v met some who go on to woe men
But herez one who decides to chill
For d ryt man who will her heart fill

Nt just 4 herself, bt also 4 her unborn child
So lil angel, dnt get mad nor wild
Coz momz doin her best so u'll av a good dad
She wants a happy home, so u'll grow up glad

And a happy home is best, coz life here is hard
A bad dad will make you grow up scarred
So stay put and keep chilln in heaven
N when its tym to come, bring mom good fortune.

TLS.

Amberacious,
There's *Something about You*
Something which I fail to understand
It evades me like a *Harmattan Rain*
Although *Respect is Reciprocal*
Permit me to humbly confess
You seem like my *Missing Lover*
I stand *Undefeated*
Having enjoyed your poetry.

Lol, Great collection.
