The problem is not with sugar consumption but with control of sugar in the blood. It means the late actor was diabetic and his blood sugar is sometimes high and sometime low without the normal control others have. Both high sugar and low sugar are dangerous situations but low sugar is much easier to correct , usually by the patient himself or in hospital. It's a pity and a shame that he died of hypo.
Although low blood sugar signs can be masked in the elderly , one has to know the details to come to any conclusions.
