Wealth and Relationships
Life has indeed taught me a few
lessons, and chief among them is
that relationships are very
important. As I study the lives of
great men and women, I see that
major turning points in their lives,
successes or failures, have been at
the instance of relationships, either
directly or indirectly. Looking at
your own life, friend, would you
agree or disagree?
Robert Kiyosaki says that the
richest people are always working
to build their networks
(relationships) while the rest of the
people look for work.
Relationships that we celebrate
today began yesterday. Many want
to become the governor or
minister’s friend when he is in
power. That is too late. The
governor or minister today was
once unknown yesterday. Those
who watered that relationship
while it was still in seedling form
will be the first to reap when the
harvest is declared. If in doubt, ask
the ones who saved Chief
Obasanjo while in jail and they will
tell you the power of deep
committed friendships; how
consequently, they had access to
Aso Rock during his years in
government. Even Management
experts say that the higher you go
on the corporate leader, the more
your success will depend on
people skills than on technical
skills.
We must, as consciously as
feeding, build our friendships and
develop our network daily, starting
from connection with God, our
family members, our friends and
colleagues and whoever life brings
our way. It’s important to, as much
as possible, leave a good
impression on people wherever
we go, because people are the real
doors in life. Learn to build bridges
to the people who are already
where you are going. Friendships
can add, multiply, subtract or
divide from you, as the case may
be. It matters how you treat
people, because people are the
heart of the matter! The help you
give today may just be your door
to wealth tomorrow! Have a great
