val_dubem: I see people with time spent on nairaland up to 4months; then I wonder why they spend all their precious time surfing d net and Nairalanding. There is enough time in the day to do something else. Secondly, even one can do something financially rewarding concurrently with being on NL while on the laptop, e.g. researching industries, building business plans or financial models. That said, apart from the financial aspects, comparing to alternative activities others get into in their spare time, e.g. getting drunk, watching "their" club (from a place they have never been to), getting high, going to church to prayer worship, praying 5 times a day etc, I would rather spend time on NL. I enjoy imparting knowledge. Far more intangibly rewarding to me than gaining no knowledge or gaining rubbish knowledge. |

Seriously, I can't call the BS and Hate-filled posts and threads that have become the trademark of Nairaland knowledge. That's garbage! But the thing is, I like to be here cos it is mini-Nigeria where any riff-raff can come in and insult his betters. Yeah, at least for once, you can feel Good about the fact that you can tell a Prof to shut the hell up here without any fear of being dealth with. Here, you can reveal all manner of sides about you without anyone finding out who exactly you are. Again, seun allows you to say out your hate for other tribes loud and clear without any fear of being bleeped up. . Here even fugly girls get to do shakara for guyz that wont even say hi to them in real life even if they opened their yansh. This is the only forum where words are ridiculously translated into meaningless soundbites just so google does not get offended. .lol. NL is fun because it is a reflection of our very demeaning values, it is fun to be here because it is classless and ghetto. So yeah, if I want to lose my sanity or curse out my Non-Igbo boss or coleagues pissing me off, I log on to NL. Yeah, now you know why I am here. 2 Likes |

Worth it is an understatement, merit it or deserves is like disrespecting Seun, NL is everything. Its like a library,a research center,a fighting zone, business hub, mini office, relaxation center,in short NL means everything. . What baffles me most is the fact that my "time spent" still show 1 month and 25 days whereas my phone is always on from January to December every year, how come NL recorded 1 month and 25 days. 1 Like |

YES. AND WORTHIER THAN WATCHING ANY NIGERIAN TV. Nairaland is the hub of Nigerians in the global village. I recommend it as a must visit for news, gossip, jobs, politics, health, family and entertainment by all. And of course, look for out for the most eclectic and most viewed poster Orikinla. |

Nairaland means a lot to us all. Even you who started this topic would have spent a lot of time reading comments. The world to you is the way you see it. Nairaland 2 us is d way we see it. Even in our work places, u hav d good, bad and ugly. So is nairaland. It depends on what you want to focus on. For me i've learnt so much. You post about a problem you have and so many pple hav access to giv u useful informations dat helps u solve ur issues. Indeed my prayer is that nairaland becomes moneyland so it can go completely global. The positive side of nairaland is countless. Pple have gotten jobs, found great friends, entered blissful businesses. U name it. Let me stop here b4 i become boring. Morals of my long talk: nairaland is how u see it. U can come to waste ur time or come and get more enlightened abt issues dat affect u |

Nairaland is just one website I cannot top clicking. when ever I want to be happy and smile alone, I am very certain that before I browse two threads, someone's contribution would make me smile. It makes me feel i am getting one on one interaction with my root.I have stopped reading Nigerian news paper online because it is dry and full of BH, I watch channels TV online twice a week but the tonic to my smile and laughter whenever i get bored is Nairaland |

Nairaland, to me, is not just a social network and I will never see the time I spent on it as waste. With Nairaland, iam well informed of things that are happening both at home and abroad. My day is never complete without my visit to Nairaland. Some members are fond of making comments that will make you LAUGH...... LAUGH.... and almost forget your name. No dull moment at all with Nairaland. God bless Seun Osewa. God bless Nigeria. 1 Like |
