1timothy 2:12 Women should never teach men or lord over them. They should be quiet in the church

This Bible answer is politically incorrect. But if you trust God, you need to trust His Word.

From Genesis to Revelation, God has explained the relationship between men and women. Men are given the responsibility to be leaders in their households and the church.

Of course, God clearly does minister through women. The Bible points out a number of women prophets in the Bible who are spirit filled; in this capacity, they teach and warn. But the words “elder” and “pastor” in the Bible specifically refer to ordination, and there is no mention in the Bible of ordaining a woman in the capacity of pastor or elder.

Let’s look at a story in the Old Testament. Two Jewish slaves, Amram and Jochebed, had three unique children: Miriam, the oldest; Aaron; then Moses. All three children are called prophets. But only the boys, Moses and Aaron, could serve in the capacity of priest. Likewise, a man is supposed to be the priest of his family. This is something that God established in Eden, and nothing in the Bible suggests that it has been made null and void.

Now the New Testament: Jesus picked only males as His apostles, and the Bible only speaks of men as elders and pastors. It is unlikely that Jesus would pick only males as apostles simply because culture dictated it. Indeed, He died because He would not capitulate to antiquated Jewish traditions and customs. Therefore, it would be a big stretch to suggest that He only picked men so as not to ruffle the feathers of the Pharisees. He would not compromise simply for tradition in any area because it would be dishonest.

We are living in a sinful world. In dealing with the sin issue, God established men to be the servant leaders in the church. That doesn’t mean that women should not teach and minister—they can even preach and do evangelism. But being a pastor or elder is priestly in nature, and God calls on men to fill those roles.

It is okay for women to be a house fellowship leader
It is okay for women to be a Sunday school leader
It is okay for women to be a deaconess
It is okay for women to be a women revival leader
But it is very wrong for a woman to be a pastor, general overseer, Reverend, Bishop or elder in the church. Totally wrong.

According to the bible, 1 Tim 2:11 to be precise, a woman should not preach at all, it is considered to be shameful. She should simply keep silent and ask her husband questions at home.
The big churches of today are clearly disobeying that, most probably the reason why they remain crowded. But think, if they could ignore the bible's stance on female preachers why can't they do the same when it comes to homosexuality? Because of the crowd.
It's all about appeasing the crowd. A good majority of church goers are females, why not give a female an important mass-communicative role so the women will feel a sense of belonging? Then again, since we are still very antagonistic towards homosexuality why not keep bashing it?
Bet with me, in the years to come, as we keep adopting the western culture, thereby becoming more tolerant of homos, more gay churches will start sprouting up, and most significantly more men of god who were cursing them before would start blessing and even welcoming them to fellowship. Some would even be made important officials. Like I said, pleasing the crowd.

Asper this post well, kind of true...but when men are not available, God will indeed raise women to do His work. He did it during the time of deborah (who judged and prophecied for israel) in judges 5 and can still do it today if men feel that it is their birthright and start showing themselves "too hot" for God to handle.

The reason why God gives preference to sexes is because of the RESPONSIBILITIES he gives to them. Deborah was not a widow, but where was her husband? Every thing highlighted about sexes (asper things in God's house)goes with certain responsibilites. It was not necessarily a "thou shall not have a woman lead my people" kind of commandment. It was a divine instruction for order in a given church.
