Liverpool Vs Tottenham (3 - 2) On 10th March 2013 by luvola(m): 2:37pm On Mar 07, 2013 |
A lose for liverpool will drain the champions league vision ... A win for liverpool will surely spell a doom for Tottenham as it gonna be an advantage to both arsenal and chelsea.. Arsenal and chelsea fans respectively will definitely support liverpool on sunday ... The question is if liverpool win tottheham in anfield on sunday , can they still make top 4 ? I know the likes of mukina2 will support liverpool to sink tottheham that day... |

High-flying Tottenham will take their four-match winning streak to Anfield on Sunday, hoping to unseat a rejuvenated Liverpool. Andre Villas-Boas' Spurs have catapulted into third spot in the league with a whiff of Champions League in their nose. They should at least secure a top-four spot, but now they are two points inside the top-three, Villas-Boas will only be looking skywards to guarantee their group-stage spot in Europe's elite competition in 2013/14. The Reds, meanwhile, have climbed back into contention for securing a spot in the Europa League next season with back-to-back victories. Albeit against either poor or distracted opposition - the latter being Swansea, who were preparing for a League Cup final when they lost 5-0 at Anfield - Liverpool have put nine goals into the back of the net in their past two wins. Unsurprisingly, Luis Suarez has scored four of Liverpool's seven goals from open play in those wins to climb to the lead in the race for the Golden Boot with 21 goals. But one-man show or not, the Reds have found their scoring prowess in a flourish - and that can only breed confidence for Brendan Rodgers' men, who are looking to end their mediocre season on a high. Once a regular 'big four' club, Liverpool have been forced to scrape their way into seventh spot on the table - with their win over Swansea their first against top-10 opposition this season. That statistic doesn't spell a happy ending for The Kop on Sunday, and neither does the formline that shows Spurs have not lost on their two most recent trips to Merseyside. In fact - home or away - Liverpool have not beaten Spurs since January 2010, when Dirk Kuyt scored twice at Anfield in a 2-0 win. Tottenham won their previous encounter this season at White Hart Lane, with Gareth Bale scoring at both ends in a 2-1 result. Bale is the man of the hour in the Premier League, with seven goals in his past five matches to total 16 for the season. The battle within the battle will be that of 'Bale versus Suarez', and whoever can weave their magic the best on Sunday could just decide the winner of this crucial clash for both sides' respective European aspirations. http://sports.opera.com/?sport=soccer&page=news&view=article&news_id=224323&localization_id=www> |

YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE When you walk through a storm, Hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm, There's a golden sky, And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams be tossed and blown, Walk on, walk on, With hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone, You'll never walk alone... 15 Likes |

Liverpool have been finding it very difficult to beat spurs recently (an opponent we once smashed home and away for 4 straight seasons).. But with the resurgence of Anfield Lords, spurs will struggle for a draw! The key battle is gonna be on d flanks where Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale are gonna be marked by Jose Enrique and Glen Johnson respectively. On d opposite side, Luis Suarez and Steward Downing or Sturridge will be trying their skills against Assou-Akotto and Vetoghen (pls don't mind my spellings). The midfield of Gerrard-Lucas-Coutinho looks to hav upper hand against Dembele-Parker-Sigurdson. But I trust Brendan Rodgers on an opponent like spurs with dangerous wingers to play a 3-5-2 formation. 3 central defenders, 2 wing backs who will also be midfielders in disguise to curtail dia flanks, 3 central midfielders and 2 strikers! The only concern Liverpool should have will be to keep Bale in the midfield areas...(To make sure he doesn't come close to d 18-yard box). To do this, they will need atleast 2players to mark him whenever he's in possession of d ball. With the return of Daniel Sturridge and d form of Suarez, I put my money on Liverpool side! Prediction: 2-0....Liverpool win!! YNWA |

I think Spurs will be having a higher confidence level than Liverpool, going by the quality of opponent they last met. Spurs played Inter n won comfortably. Liverpool also won comfortably but against a weaker side. I predict a 2 - 1 win for Spurs. |
