Born 2be Rich: This is a very good development from Fashola....Kudos my foot. Is that wat wud make lagos better last time he opened his trash to say lagos economy is better than ghana and uk. Hw can an economy lagos economy be better wen power is 20percent and road networkin is crap. I doubt if he even knws the characteristics of a good economy, prizes are outrageous and the number of homeless ple is notin to write home about. Inshort a typical lagosian wit a million naira is the lousiest creature on earth. Fashola is just a typical monopolistic creature |
I do wonder at times whenever I go to Lekki, Ajah and Oshodi. You will see so many irresponsible youths gaurding their streets collecting toll money just because you drive through the street. The money will then be used to procure drugs and hot drinks. These set of people have constantly constitute menace to the peace of these areas. Am very much happy for this development and I hope after the passage of the bill into law, necessary enforcement agencies should be empowered to enforce the law to the letter
which kind yeye rotten amala and smellin ewedu law they make you happy. |

The problem of omo-onile is real and needs to be resolved so we can have rapid and equal development in the state (and the country at large) But it seems that there is no political will. The present laws are more than adequate to deal with this problem. What needs to change are our institutions i.e. The Executive and The Judiciary. Simple things like: 1. Making the GIS plans available on-line 2. Making the land register database and ordinance survey available on line 3. A fair, Just and Equitable Judiciary I actually saw the a private organisation build a website to accommodate point #2 called www.landsearchng.com 1 Like |

Please don't get too excited. They don't need a new law. All they need is to enforce the ones they have now and empower the law enforcing agents. The whole judiciary system in Nigeria needs to be overhauled. |

Another step in the right direction.Lagos need to be sanitized fairly and squarely. At the moment there's still so much chaos in Lagos as if it is 'no mans land' with no govt in place. To me this is part of the beginning of civilization if it becomes law and is enforced. Land, housing, transportation and security sectors need to be thoroughly sanitized. |

As a town planner & developer of more than 15yrs I can stake everything to declare that no lagos leadership can stop the omoonile's whahala. It can only be achieved by ideal federal govt.I can categotically say that Lagos government instituted the omoonile issue nationwide. In other words LAGOS GOVT is the patron of the institution |
Re: Lagos To Ban ‘omo Onile’ by rhymz(m): 6:53am On Mar 09, 2013 |
I doubt the Lagos state goverment are ready for this battle with Awon Omo onile. Those guyz are just annoying and wicked. Most of the idiots claiming onile don't even own any land, they just claim Onile by virtue of their indigen status. The matter is a serious one o |
