So what you are saying in essence is that if is people's darling, nobody would have cared if he steals their hearts or not.do you see the kind of average mentality of imolites.

VIDEO: I Did Not Resign As Imo Deputy Governor – Agbas

Mr Agbaso was reported to have resigned from office last week for allegedly receiving N458 million bribe from a contractor, Joseph Dina engaged by the state government to construct the Sam Mbakwe road in Owerri, the state capital.

The deputy governor said he has not received any notice of impeachment from the state house of assembly and has not resigned from office as reported by a section of the media.

Some local newspaper had on Saturday reported that Mr Agbaso has officially tendered his resignation letter as Deputy Governor of the state.
The Imo State House of Assembly had last week served an impeachment notice on the deputy governor who is said to have fallen out of favour with Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Recall that Governor Rochas was given the governorship ticket of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in 2011 after he was alleged to have paid off Martin Agbaso, the elder brother of the deputy governor who was the party’s flag- bearer in 2007 and was known to be the leaders of the party in Imo State.

Apart from paying heavily to buy APGA ticket from Mr Agbaso, Governor Rochas was made to accept to have Mr Agbaso’s younger brother, Jude as his deputy, a condition he accepted without hesitation. Political analysts had predicted then that the marriage with the Agbbasos would be very brief.

Guy if you have an argument to make go ahead and stop insulting Imolites. It is obvious you are not here and do not care or know about the political goings-on until recently. I don't think you have any superior I.Q than even a KekeNapep driver in Imo state, don't try to insult their intelligence because of the anonymity NL grants you, you wont even last 15min in intellecual debate with me, yet you want to talk down in boastfull confidence. last timer: Nice one. Let the state governor bring in a credible individual to man that role. Let the cleansing exercise begin. We don't want drug peddlers, ritualists and people of questionable character in positions of authority any more like in the days of yore.

Amiii oh!

JUDE AGBASO U NO DO WELL AT ALL. Rochas trusted dis thief so much dat he gave him authority over all the development of the state like road construction only for this thief to demand 10percent from all contractors before ur bill could be processed for payment and the governor had no knowledge of these.
Re: Imo Deputy Governor Resigns by touchmehard: 10:46am On Mar 11, 2013
Whether he resigns to save his face or not, it's already there in the records that he was involved in financial misconduct. So he resigned so that he can still get his benefits and honour as a former deputy governor? For where, there is nothing honourable in a dishonourable conduct.
I pray his resignation letter is rejected so that he would be impeached. This would serve as a deterrent to other people in office.
We are here complaining about our older corrupt leaders, and our youths are also following suit. Rubbish
Re: Imo Deputy Governor Resigns by touchmehard: 10:55am On Mar 11, 2013
Symphony007: What's so wrong about this? Everyone does it. The deputy governour can resign rather than face impeachment and the governour gives him immunity and he goes free. That's what nixon/ford did!

The fact that everyone does it doesn't mean that we too should be doing it, or that we should be tolerating every rubbish being thrown at our face. We have to change our orientation and attitude towards corruption. That some sets of people did it and went free doesn't mean that everybody would be waiting for their own turn to chop & clean mouth. The earlier we start asking for accountability from our leaders the better for us.

Politics is always deeper than it seems to the average citizen. Trust me guys, the money isn't the issue because those assemblymen don't have clean hands neither.
This is all a jostle for power control. If Chief Jude did indeed steal, do you believe he is the only oneand Gov Okorocha didn't have a clue
A can of worms would be opened if he is impeached.

Jude Agbaso was not only Deputy Governor, he was also commissioner for works while Rochas doubles as the Governor and commissioner for finance.

Duru1: Unless the craps the news media in Owerre have been saying about Rochas Okorocha are falsehood, I have been meant to understand that Rochas Okorocha awards all the contracts in Imo State and rather judiciously too.

I do not give a hoot what the deputy governor represents. Whether he was a commissioner of works or local government, countless news media reports from Imo State included the loudmouthed and blind supporters of Rochas Okorocha had informed us since governor was sworn in that governor is the sole distributor of contracts in Imo State. No time was the deputy governor or commissioner of works had been mentioned with connection of contracts in Imo State except when the elder brother of and deputy governor disagreed with the governor on the latest move to the so-called APC.

Apparently you are not interesred in the facts but what you want to say and the needless argument you so want to make. That you did not know that Imo state does not have a commissioner for works other than the deputy is nobody's fault but that is the reality. That somebody says Rochas is prudent with the way he pays contractors or award contracts does not mean he is the one directly involved in the contract award, unless you have the bad habit of taking things literally every slowpoke knows what such statements imply. Stop being unneccessarily aggressive before you burst a vain in your needless rage. If yoy have got personal beef with the man, go to government house and squash it na, why the misplaced anger.

If you are not in the bad habit of taking things literally every dullard knows what such statements imply, I should say your indictment of the deputy governor on the allegation that he, Jude Agbaso, collected hush money for contracts awarded by the Rochas Okorocha is moronic. Contrarily, you were either present when deputy governor collected the hush money from the contractors or you are a member of the alleged Imo State house committee that investigated the matter.

Other than the stated scenarios, I can safely say you are one of the loudmouthed and deluded blind supporters of Rochas Okorocha.

hahahahahah. . . Nwanne take it easy biko before you start breaking things in the house o. . . You comment with so much anger and presumptousness. Seriously, no need to be getting worked up, we all know politics is at play here, anyone can insinuate anything but one fact that is very obvious here is that the allegations seem to be sticking and Mr Jude has not helped his condition by quitting, it only points to the fact that he actually has been collecting kickbacks. If he was convinced of his innocence, he would not quit, Nigerian politicians dont just suddenly quit.

The above post which alleged the Jude Agbaso has quitted as deputy governor is typical of example of bad habit of taking conjectural craps literally even when they loads of falsehood. I guess deluded and blind supporters of Rochas Okorocha will believe anything from governor never had a sexual intercourse to the point that the governor walks on Imo River as printed by the imbecilic news media in Imo State. I can state categorically that deputy governor of Imo State has not resigned.
