Of course you don't expect to see "Background Data" on N7 cos it runs on os 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The tips above is meant for 2.3 Gingerbread, but you can follow same steps. On ACCOUNT & SYNC, look for other menu that's related to BACKROUND DATA.
You must not root your phone in order to disable background applications.

Am sorry you're having such problems with your N3. Check your phone for wrong rooting. You can try hard reset or format. Also make sure you reserve atleast 50MB space on your internal memory for better performance of your device.

175 MB of internal storage capacity is the only disadvantage in the Tecno N3 but you can still get more out of it by partitioning your SD Card and using 'Link2SD' application.
NB: Link2SD cannot work without rooting your phone.

4.0 is an upgrade of 2.3. It's obvious, ICS has a better android user-interface, good functionality etc. (Just like comparing Windows7 & Vista).

Rooting should boost its performance and stop hanging. Remember it'll void your 13mths waranty. Have you resolved most of what you were complaining about, or was it only hanging that was the problem with your N3?

please can any one help me out , my techno n3 cannot receive file through bluetooth, each time someones sends me a file thru bluetooth, it will first alert me that a file is coming, after it will say file not receive, have checked all setting no way.

MESSAGE SENT!

1- Install and open application.
2- You'll be prompted to install Ministro from Play Store.
3- Install & open Ministro
4- Wait until Ministro installs all components.
5- Open "Poot" that you initially installed
6- Select the first option "poot" to root your phone.

Your phone will go off and cannot be switched on.
Remove your battery & put it back, then switch on your phone and you're done!

The best way to save data is don't use your phone
to browse
To save great deal of data depends upon the browser you re using,turning off sync, saves battery and renders email syncing idle,
Every smartphones be it andriod or ios based platform comes with stock browser, these stock browser ate up data, including HD,Mozilla firefox,Skyfire,UC browser re culprits,
I strongly recommend opera browser 12, upon download from playstore, tap the opera symbol, from the dialog box switch on the off road mode, and see how it squeezes out excess data, you could have consumed. Could you imagine saving 90% of 100MB.
2 The greatest means to save data, is to turn off image, for example, when visiting sites like nairaland or any other,Next don't ever visit porn sites, they are data guzzlers.

Android users could still enjoy same benefit as BlackBerry users. Subscribe to Airtel Blackberry Social (Somonth), it works fine on all device without any special settings.

You can only browse on it via Wireless Network.

SUGGESTION:
- Get your laptop connected using a USB MODEM.
- Download and install CONNECTIFY.
- Turn on your laptops wireless and run CONNECTIFY.
- Search for available wireless with you Tablet device.
